initial reports are that India’s south pole rover landing was a success!

Great, now India just needs to put someone's uncle on the moon and there will be 100,000 Indians moving there within 2 years [/sarcasm].

To be clear, I kid because I love, I spent 4 months living in India and loved it.

Someone already recycled the joke (from 1969) that when they arrived they encountered a Malayali tea salesman.

Only this time people were not amused. Sigh.

Mexican congress have produced (literally, it seems) two alien corpses.

The bodies are on display in little coffins. Photos include x-rays featuring eggs and the all-important, uh, shoulder glands.

Looks similar to the crystal skull in the British Museum.

Damn.  I'm definitely going to read that paper.

Edit:

Quote

Thus, a Schwarzschild black hole the same size as our Universe has the same mass and density as our Universe. This seems to suggest that the entire Universe is a black hole. Although this idea has been explored in Refs. 34–37, Fig. 4 illustrates why this is not the case.

it's mostly readable and was pretty interesting in that it's such a view from far out, and sticks pretty closely to just the hugest moments and classifications.
