new skee mask album incoming. juno: "The next level beat maker and sound designer that is Skee Mask returns to long-time home label Ilian Tape with another bold and brilliant album, Resort. It's an album that expands on the artist's usual sound with fusions of celestial ambient, IDM sound design and lithe, rhythmic techno drums. There are breakbeats on 'Reminiscrmx' backlit by heavenly pads, 'Schneiders Paradox' is marbled with zippy pads and raw drum hits, 'BB Care' glistens with a futuristic glow and 'Holzl Was A Dancer' slips into a shuffling, UKG tinged dub house pumper. It's a wild, wonderful ride that reaches all new levels for this already accomplished pr…

Actress - Statik - new album out 7th June (smalltownsupersound.com) new album out June 7th. Actress — the moniker of British electronic producer Darren Cunningham — announces his new album, Statik, out July 7th via Smalltown Supersound, and shares singles “Dolphin Spray” & “Static.” Cunningham’s latest studio album is imbued with a sense of freedom and stillness. From conception through creation and release, Statik has been blessed with an almost unnatural ease. For Actress, who wrote the majority of this record in an extensive flow state, the celestial and expansive project serves as a testament to artistic liberation. “Static,” a shadowy and buzzy ambien…

Not new, but it´s finally available on streaming. Perhaps a repress on it´s way as well? It´s without the original second track Saturn Strobe which I believe has a unlicened sample, and therefore has caused some trouble. Excellent album! Highly recommended!

Electronic music composer David Morley returns to De:tuned with the live recorded ‘Fashion’ EP. In the early 90s Belgian fashion designer Dirk Bikkembergs reached out to David Morley to ask if he could create a special piece of music for the Paris Fashion Week. The ‘Fashion - Show’ DAT tape recording radiates the energy of David’s thrilling live performance and captures an exciting synergy of art and music during an era that shaped an entire generation. Instabuy. Love this series! https://noton.info/product/n-064/ NOTON IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE RELEASE OF HYBR:ID III, THE THIRD CHAPTER OF ALVA NOTO’S HYBR:ID SERIES INITIATED IN 2021. HYBR:ID III, CONTINUING THE TRAJECTORY ESTABLISHED BY ITS PREDECESSORS, CRAFTS A SOUNDSCAPE OF MEDITATIVE AND RESONANT TONES. DRAWING INSPIRATION FROM NOH, A TRADITIONAL JAPANESE MUSICAL DRAMA DATING BACK TO THE 14TH CENTURY, THE ALBUM REFLECTS THE GENRE’S DISTINCTIVE RHYTHMIC MOVEMENTS AND ITS NUANCED EXPRESSION OF EMOTIONS THROUGH SUBTLE GESTURES. “THE HYBR:ID ALBUMS ARE CONCEIVED AS WORLDS. MY FOCUS HAS BEEN ON CRAFTING THEM TO POSSESS A SCULPTURAL QUALITY. EA…

We Are The Music Makers | Volume One by Various Trilateral begins with the truly epic “Catastrophic Tendencies”. Alien heartbeats cut through the dark silence of the cosmos. Colossal spacecraft whiz through a gossamer nebula before coming to a halt, then gliding in freefall. Next, thoughts race through half pondered possibilities during “Double Bind”, evoking the titular cognitive dissonance with its neurotic sonics. Completing the triptych, “Static Continuum” eases the journey back to familiar terrain (perhaps our own planet?) with its pulsing dub inflections, all with a quintessentially science fiction song title to boot. - N. S. Girling

New album by one of the most udnerrated experimental musiscians operating today. releasing July 5th. Lambda | ZULI (bandcamp.com) ZULI's widest-reaching and most ambitious album to date, 'Lambda' is a conspicuous left turn for the Berlin-based Egyptian producer. Draped in gauzy, granulated textures and woven with enigmatic vocal flourishes from collaborators MICHAELBRAILEY, Coby Sey and Abdullah Miniawy, it's a vivid, soul-searching set of polychromatic reflections that sets fire to the boundaries between ambient, trip-hop, industrial music, chamber pop and symphonic noise. In some aspects, 'Lambda' reveals ZULI's softer side; gone are the earth-shaking chopped …

Artist : EXM Title: Modulus Label: Touched Music Cat no: TM36 Format: CD/Digital Country: U.K. Artwork: Style: IDM/Electronica Release Date 21.July.17 Well well well, if it isn’t exm again. This prolific artist has a multitude of self-released EPs under his belt and returns once more for his fourth contribution to Touched with music of fantastic quality. Each track piques your interest, every sound feels like it has a purpose and my are their lots of sounds. This release isn’t just generous in terms of style but at a shade under 90 minutes I don’t think anyone could complain that they weren’t being looked after. The opening of ’Modulus’ i…
