Could we sticky this please? Thanks! Sooooo, I guess the two kinda big moves going down at the moment are and As for my beloved Cardiff City we can't sign anyone as we're under a transfer embargo and haven't paid our tax bills or filed the accounts for the 2008-2009 period. Only at Cardiff City does the drama never end.

Figured I'd make a new thread - This summer has been pretty dead transfer-wise but the WC and Euros always overshadow the summer. Shame to see Luton back in the Championship but we're in a better position than we were 2 years ago.

This board isn't very active so I thought I'd create a general thread of everything related to the 2023/24 season in football around the world. To start, I'm so excited that Luton Town are finally back in the top flight of English football. I grew up in the area during the dark era and it's great to see a success story that's deserved and honest. I went to a home fixture against Middlesbrough in the season just past and the excitement around Kenilworth Road was palpable. The promotion will no doubt allow us to build the new stadium with no debt! They're due to break ground later in November and it should hopefully be finished by 2026 which is still a while away.

Just found out about this brilliant channel the other day. https://www.youtube.com/@BunchOfAmateurs They have a whole bunch of videos about the bottom tiers of the football pyramid in England. Currently making my way through Dorking Uncovered, some real characters. If you're a little tired of the bullshit in the prem, this is a brilliant relief.

I'm really excited for this upcoming season, finally get to play against Watford scummers in the M1 derby now that they've been relegated from the Premier League, and if reaching the playoffs in the 2021/2022 season is anything to go by, the only way is up. I feel Luton is a really well run club and has both a manager and players with drive and passion. Our squad last season had been bought with only £1.5 million, around 1% of Fulham's and we still made the playoffs! Hopefully the new stadium will be complete by the 2024/2025 season - I believe they've started demolition already. It'll be a nice change from Kenilworth Road which although is a classic ground, has a ca…

Do any of you support teams outside of your own country? - I'm an Olympique Lyonnais fan when it comes to Ligue 1 football, and have been keeping an eye on St Pauli for a while now whilst not being a supporter. Also opinions on 2022 Qatar world cup??????

BBC has been reshowing the few Wales international glories during quarantine. Germany 1991, Italy 2002, errrrr........Euro ‘16? Good moments, but turgid overall. If you can be arsed, lob up any game highlights of your favourite wins, losses or draws. Any teams, any level. Gloating is entirely permissible. Try & keep them succinct. To start (wanna save Cardiff v Leeds for later) & no scouse allegiances through neutrality, this during a full moon 24 years ago was insane. Soz @kakapo, if you hadn’t mentioned black & white loyalism somewhere it wouldn’t have twinged my synapses

So Ronaldo/Juve is out. Can't see Barca win against Bayern. So who will win CL, and who will win Ballon d´Or this year?

You slack cunts Not that i give too much of a fk about the usual Inglan suspects, but anyone except Chelski & Citeh, right? Liverpool & Spurs - if you don't win it this year might have to quit watching PL matches altogether, not like the metropolitan elite at Stoke or Millwall away have that much going on football entertainment-wise to distract

Alright lads? That time of year again. Day 1 has some tasty looking matchups. Real-Roma, Liverpool-PSG, Inter-Spurs, Monaco-Atletico should all be good. City-Lyon could be good as well, depending on which Lyon team comes out. Any favourites?

Season starts in a couple of days so let’s hear your thoughts/predictions/wild fantasies (though nothing about threesomes with Ashley Cole please). Mine: Citeh to retain the title, a tough slog between United, Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool for the 2-4 spots. Mid-table, feel as though Everton and West Ham have some some good business in the transfer window (shortening it in a World Cup year was a bit silly), so might prove tough competition for Arsenal, who I think will struggle post-Wenger (crazy to think he won’t be able to almost sign every up and comer in the PL anymore).

Does anyone listen to this podcast? Its link to football has become increasingly strenuous but it's magic. Bob Mortimer is one of the funniest men on the planet.

Late to the party, but let's start it off with two beauties from Arsenal. This finish from Ozil is so sweet and he makes it look so easy. https://streamable.com/0871n And then this goal is really the reason that soccer is so sweet - pure poetry. https://streamable.com/9qm0w
