the scientific, political & religious cult is filled with elitist snobbery and lip-flapping know-it-alls, who clammer to retain status, to keep plaques on their walls and their acceptance into the right parties, clubs and cliques. if one includes the transfer of money and influence of power, then one starts to see the depth of deception and corruption. the scientific and political communities are cults like any other, made of the masses, but also including fringe groups (similar to religion & spirituality) who are often ostracized from the mainstream for their nonconformist views. through the use of these spellbinding cults, as well as many others, we are kep…

Women have more legal rights than men do There is no wage gap http://puu.sh/2ApZo.pdf Women perpetrate domestic violence and unwanted sexual aggression just as often as men. http://puu.sh/2Aq2a.pdf Male disposability is the actual reality.

I agree with his view on this much more than his fear of an alien race. http://m.slashdot.org/story/184699

I was given a work laptop a while ago and use it much more for leisure than work! After a few data leaks at work they're requesting that everyone gets their laptops encrypted. I don't 'have' to get it done, but if in the rare instance that I was to lose my laptop with sensitive data on it then I'd be screwed. I don't really want to give it to the work IT lads (for several boring reasons)... are there any free and decent ways to encrypt your own laptop? Obviously, I don't want to lose all the stuff I already have on it.

So I've been doing some positive affirmations/self hypnosis stuff and Im feeling super positive- It's almost a bit annoying because I don't want to watch the news because I see how negative it is. Anyway, point of this thread is- Who else has done such things? Maybe people here could give it a go? Not long ago there was a 'depression' thread-maybe this could help? Discuss or report your findings etc.

A search of the forums yielded no results for this topic. This game looks awesome and the narrative looks a lot better than in past titles. I'm excited. It also will have co-op which should make the game much more fun than in the past. Graphics looks 10/10.

Hello, My first ipod was an 80gb classic that I got in 2007. I managed to break that one about three years ago in a skateboarding incident. I replaced it with a 160gb classic and went about the arduous task re-ripping all my CDs because, like an idiot, I didn't back them up originally. I didn't back them up the second time either...... last weekend I awoke after a debauched work drink to find my ipod making grinding noises and displaying the dreaded red X. I intend to buy a new one at the end of the month and thought that this time I'd put all the music on itunes before hand and then sync it with my ipod. I've previously used my ipods in quite an idios…

I have been on the hunt for movies that are actually disturbing and or frightening. Not in the hyper-gory way of Hostel/Saw monstrosities. But in the way of I may actually do something besides laugh the whole way through. Any and all recommendations in the horror/sci-fi/bizzaro are welcome, you all seem like a bunch of movie-buffs

Seeing as no thread has been created yet, here we are. Sure nearly everyone knows the drill now, but if anyone needs a reminder of the rules (as stolen from a previous thread)... THE BASICS: Pick 10 different celebrities who are alive as at 1st January 2013, but who, in your opinion, will no longer be with us by 31st December 2013. Nominate one of them as your "joker". For each celeb demise that you guess correctly, you'll score points, and if your joker sadly passes away, your grief will be alleviated by the fact that you'll score double points. The Person with the most points at the end of the year will, unsurprisingly, be deemed to be the winner. In the…
