Has anyone else been having serious issues with Firefox lately? I'm updated to the most recent version and it starts up SUPER slow. Whenever I'm in a thread with a lot of youtube clips (unfortunately, some of my favorites... like the jungle threads) the shit just won't comply. It makes me feel like I'm back in the 90s. I think the issues began 2 updates ago. I also regularly empty my browser cache and it only really helps for the first usage afterward. Wtf? Amirite? I can't take it anymore.

i've got a pretty big room with semi-vaulted ceilings. the sq ft is about 500-600 and the ceiling is about 15 ft tall at its highest point, with 2 alcoves for the skylights. i've only had to fill up a small room with my PC speakers, or fill up a bar with a PA. i have no experience messing with sound in these medium-sized rooms. my PC speakers sound awful in this room, and i don't really want to put a PA in my living room. i'm thinking freestanding will do the trick. don't really want the cheapest speakers, but i can't spend any more than $200-300 on the speakers themselves (i have a receiver). i don't really want to mess with a surround setup, i'm fine with 2 free…

Alitalia has flights with crazy discounts for the next two days so I've decided to make my dream come true and go to Tokyo for a week in March. 500 euro for the return ticket from Rome! The problem is that no one wants to come with me. If you live in Europe you're likely to find a low-cost flight to Rome for nothing or a combination flight through alitalia. It doesn't generally bother me traveling alone but a 15 hour flight slightly frightens me. Wanna come with me? ... This ain't a fanboy or flame war thread, am I the only one here worried about the future of this company? From what I've read some divisions are still profitable like PS, while others are hemorrhaging money. Kaz is the guy in charge now, the one who came up with the brilliant $600 price for the PS3. Are his management skills any better? Hey babe, Saw Demdike Stare at the weekend, who were awesome. Their film reel began with a scene of an old man in cloak (bit obi wanish) walking across a desert type landscape towards an oversized sun. Swirling clouds then form across the horizon, followed by clouds of ash. Out of this appears a figure in bandages(?) walking towards the old man.
