Personally, I don`t care at all for anything new from either RDJ or BOC. They only (quite recently) released right?

I would sell my soul right now for the new CVJ album. I hope it isn`t too much longer.

This would be the first official full length release for me since I declared RDJ my God (chosen lords doesnt count!). Very excited. Possibly more excited to hear what autechre are up to though...

I too, can confirm a new Aphex release is forthcoming, but I was told "first half of the year" and to my knowledge, it will be a WARP release, not a Rephlex one. No word on style or whatnot though.

good enough for me. cant wait!

If he does release a new album next year meaning not a Chosen Lords or 26 Mixes For Cash then I would truly want it to sound unlike anuthing else he has done. As much as I love the RDJ/Drukqs stuff..its now time to move onto something entirely new. I like the innovative Aphex..innovation is what made him great...nothing is worse then a great artist resting on his creative laurels and going back to sounds we all loved at one time.....thats just boring...... This is what rock dinosaur bands such as the Eagles, The Stones and the likes have done so many times. Aphex has always attempted to stay ahead of the curve. Its no time for nostalgia when it comes to Aphex..that would be depressing. The past ( however great his albums were) is the past....this is the now and the 21st Century...1995/6/7 are long gone now...and hopefully Aphex will stay away from that amazing musical era for him....

Casino Versus Japan, aka Eric Kowalski. If you don't know his work yet, I strongly suggest you give it a listen. Especially his Go Hawaii album is a classic.

this makes sense...........the whole drill n' bass/breakcore sound is so old sounding............dated imo.

LOL the ICBYD thing nearly got me, I got vaguely annoyed then saw who had posted it.

Ahhh the sweet smell of confirmation is in the air, I'm looking forward to this one. I've been waiting for new material since Analord 1. Don't get me wrong I'm not actually a hater of the Analord series, it totally grew on me in the end and now they are some of my most treasured Aphex collections but I've just been really been waiting for something as legendary as Drukqs to come again.

i reckon the new material will be sort of like analord 08 style. I hope he releases those two tunes i love from the torino set, the tune before that ajax rufige tune and the one in the middle of the gig :P
