Pre-ordered Assassin's Creed III today. It looks great. C'mon Oct 30th.

I'm still playing Borderlands 2. I have a level 16 Gunzerker that I use to play with my pals, and a level 18 Assassin that I use to play alone. Fantastic game!

I just started Phantom Dust on the original Xbox. Has anybody else ever played this game?

Same here, got any cool stuff? I've got a purple dahl pistol that shoots white particles that stick to enemies and explode after a while with bonus corrosion damage. I only have one orange item though, its damn hard to get them, i already spent all my money in the slot machines trying to get some.

Got a gun called the Fibber. It's way too overpowered. It does 3000x damage or something, It actually kind of ruined the end of the game for me, because I beat the end boss in like 2 minutes with it.

im level 22 in borderlands 2 right now and it feels like the difficulty level has gone up like crazy in the past 2 levels or so, i die all the fucking time in opportunity for example, every encounter consists of like 6 robots and a shitload of random soldiers or whatever, and while im having fun, dying all the time is getting annoying as fuck.

OK, beat Dead Space 2 on Zelot difficulty, now gonna breeze through a lower difficulty in New Game + and get all the "kill x necromorphs with x" trophies, then get ready for Hardcore difficulty - I know you can only create three save points, but the game said that when you die, you start from your last save point - is that true? I thought you could only save three times, but if you died you started off at the last checkpoint. If it's the former, then I may have to consider abandoning the game, because FUCK THAT.

What class are you?

I played as the Commando. My turrent almost always managed to save me with 'second wind'. Maybe don't do the story missions before you are on the right level. I think there's a indicator in the menus that says what level is best for the quests.

Been playing BLACK MESA over the past few days. It's brilliant - on a par with the original Half Life. In fact, in this day and age it's probably better.

But there are two problems with it. Firstly, an over-reliance on annoying platforming. This is a problem with the original game and dates it badly.

Secondly, while the level design was revolutionary for its time, by today's standards it's sometimes a bit unclear. There's nothing wrong with the design as such - but there are very few subtle cues (lighting etc) to help guide you through the level or highlight objectives properly. A couple of times I've got stuck because I've not noticed a pressable button which looks almost exactly like a dozen unpressable buttons.

These are minor quibbles though. It's a triumph.

i have it installed, very interested.

i'm into Torchlight II at the moment. haven't had this kind of excitement since Serious Sam, never overwhelming but often the screen is FILLED with creeps, loot, ballistics, explosion, all at a 100+ FPS framerate. SUCH a solid game, the release date was delayed a lot but it plays like it's tweaked to perfection. best in it's genre imo but i don't rate diablo III that highly.

also played a bit of Wild Arms XF on psp, a very nice "classical" SRPG that got very little attention in being overshadowed by Disgaea, Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre on this platform. it's hard though, very hard.

spot on on the serious sam comparison ! it's exactly the vibe im getting from it, especially with 6 players it's just complete insanity and sensory overload, though higher difficulty levels do require some more careful play.

im planning to play the fuck out of this shit on weekend, hook me up on steam if you're up, and other watmmers who mentioned it too.

im "evgenetic" on steam.

been playing borderlands 2 with my brother online, plus housemates have been dropping in and playing as well on splitscreen every now and then. good, good, fun^^.

also been playing a bit of la-mulana on wii. which is, pretty damn amazing actually. the la-mulana + cave story remakes are just about the best things on wiiare. yesss, they're both commercialised paid for versions of games available for free on pc. but playing these games on tv + gamepad is totally where it's at.

Just bought Castlevania IV(SNES); eagerly awaiting for it to arrive!

Wow, that's really slow shipping, considering it came out in the 90's...

ba-dum tiss. lol
