Oh to be an Autechre fan, where just a year after 4 hours of content we are already feeling like the next release is around the corner

Where every week could potentially be the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

6952 and Ts1a really need a 'proper' release.

Double A Side 12" pls

you mean 6852? cccc

6852 warning points

Gah I friccin know the name, merely a slip of the finger :^)

I've run out of Autechre albums to listen to that I haven't heard in a while and I'm going back into remixes and DJ sets so it must be coming soon.

Yeah that's why I was thinking the above. I'm back to listening to my lil unofficial album of recent one-offs

1. Blyz Castl

2. 6852

3. Ts1a

4. Dilankex remix

5. SYptixed

Yes, yes it is.

Damn, I keep forgetting what Blyz Castl is from. I'm not even sure whether I've heard it.

6852 and the Skeng remixes still blow my mind with how good they are. They're not at their weirdest but they're just laying some super thick vibes down. Syptixed too.

What are the other recent-ish remixes?

- Black Dog
- Russell Haswell

... ?

I feel like there were a couple more recently. Another one with vocals, maybe.

Blyz Castl was on some 3 track itunes Japan exclusive thing, tis a sikk choon.

lol I say 'recent', that was for Quaristice which is 10 years old next year...

Where did the time go? :cattears:

Edit: yeah besides the Haswell remix there was the Moroder remix for the Tron game and that haunted piano Touched 3 track

FUCK. Nearly ten years since Quaristice, that's ridiculous. I remember when it came out like it was yesterday, too.

Blyz Castl is fucking triff.

Well it seems like a short time partly because Quaristice has aged well.

After months of waiting, my hope that ae-onesix soundboard is being released is going out. This is a good signal: it is statistically proven that Robrt & Szean act at the precise moment when I lower the guard.

yes quaristice has aged well. it was the first ae album i heard, it didn't quite grab me but after being more familiar with their sound over the years it makes me appreciate it more. nothing or noone sounds like ae, you can get close but they way they evolve and change over the years is uniquely them

i've found recent jammy output to be excellent but i would love to hear where they go from here, i still need to listen more and take it in though. if there's a new album it would be cool to hear them refine these ideas into shorter chunks. i feel like with all the live stuff it would be a little overwhelming to drop another 2 hours of material on us. a lot of people would probably still enjoy this and at the end of the day it's hard to complain about new music from ae.

A natural continuation of Quaristice: release straight up [(un)polished?] jam tracks from the 'MAX world' once every month (week? day?) in the store...
