Well, fours hours was a bit of a stretch but not many dull moments as we see nymph Jo reminisce her sexual antics to her saviour, the virgin Seligman (Skarsgard). She eases him into the story with the delightful ''I first discovered my cunt aged 2...'' at which point we're plunged into a series of flashback sequences in 8 chapters as the nymph establishes her sexual authority on thousands of males during an unknown time period, in an unknown area of England (though if Shia LaBeof's accent is anything to go by, this is a country which hasn't been discovered yet). Each chapter of sexual debauchery is set parallel with the asexual Seligman's quiet endeavors (Fly Fishing, Bach, The Church), some segments work better than others.

It's the humour which is the films saving grace, this is the most knowingly funny film i have seen from this Lars guy, some of the observations are ridiculous, yet also true. And the ending really ties up the loose ends, or rather joins together the apparent polar opposites of Jo and Seligman as they both descend into the nuclear fire of hell for their sins.

so how awkward did the super-imposed penetration look over the real actors? A friend of mine who saw it said they actually did a pretty seamless job on that, I'm still confused on how that could actually not look silly as fuck

Theres not much penetration, i think theres only one shot where an actors face was digitally added into a penetration shot and it was LaBeof's head in the background as the nymph mounted him cowgirl style. It's a 1 sec shot but it looks 100% real. The most graphic stuff is the whipping of Gainsbourg's asscheeks in Chapter 7. Not easy viewing.
