Despatched

yes

Was expecting Bleep to step up with the downloads for today but it seems they are going to be up on Monday for all of Europe (except Ireland). Was planning to have the grand first listen today, so decided to buy the vinyl from a local record store on a whim. Weirdly enough the download card code went through ok, and was able to download it from Bleep all the same.

:cerious:

'lol'

Major fuck up if true.

I wonder if they'll stick to the release schedule and that means US customers won't get MP3 access until the 11th

Probably.

I'm sure someone's already posted this, but is there actually any logical rationale for why they're handling the release like this?

I doubt it actually.

The Bleep page says that the flac, wav and mp3 release dates are 10-06-13, not 11-06-13. And Warp has seemed to follow their release dates pretty strictly here.

Yay, mine's is also dispatched.

Off topic, but all of this made me look through some old BoC and I came across these two gems, which I had forgotten about (Leo's neckbeard seems appropriate). I know the music in the Nissan ad is part of one of the (unofficial?) releases, but is the telecom italia ad music available elsewhere?:

One day I will hear this album. I too suspect that the US will get downloads Monday the 10th. If it's the 11th, I'll likely pick up the vinyl at a local shop. Otherwise maybe I'll just get the downloads. My turntable doesn't work right now anyway.

The album isn't dark to me. Hope I'm not missing the point, but I doubt it. There's a potential of life being focused on throughout.

Listen to the last track, in the dark, with headphones on. Or, in traffic on the freeway. The depression will hit you like a fucking brick.

I've been listening to this album everyday, late LATE at night on the highway, and I would never describe that track as depressing. I've gone on record here and said that the last track is possibly my favorite on the whole album. Sure it's eerie, but not depressing at ALL. I think "dark" is a terrible descriptor for this style of music in general. It gives the wrong impression.

I guess how you interpret the track, your current mental state, etc. all plays a role in how we view it. For me, it's really ominous and foreboding.

That's totally fair.. I guess I'm splitting hairs here, because it IS ominous. I just get tired of people thinking all the music I listen to is so "dark" when really it's just interesting. I guess if you want to call it dark, you should.
