Blir
Nice. I hope it's closer in line with 1 or 2 than 3, which I thought was a slight drop off in quality.

Xerrox 1 & 2 are absolute classics. Edited February 21, 2020 by brisk

The third one really reminded me of the OST to an indie game called Knytt Underground:

(05'36'') 05 Xerrox Cosmos (03'52'') 06 Xerrox Ile(?) Jafs
There titles are making reference to the sea a lot... maybe it's how it's be under-titled? (X V1: Old World, X V2: To the New World, X V3: Towards Space)

purlieu
I did a Google search just last week to see if there was any news on a fourth volume, being listening to the first two loads recently. Never got into the third, maybe it's time to revisit...

someguy
Here's some neat information for Volume 4 for anyone curious: https://inverted-audio.com/feature/alva-noto-reflects-on-his-collaborations-with-ryuichi-sakamoto-anne-james-chaton/ from the end of this interview: And what are your plans for next year? Right now I’m starting to record ‘Xerrox Volume 4’ – I’ve already started working on it for a couple of months….the obsession with copying and more melodic ambient non rhythmic stuff. I would love to finish that by the end of the year and then maybe put it out by the end of March 2020. They seem to be getting more melodic these Xerrox releases? Yes, at the beginning they were more experimental and noisy. Volume 3 was much more melodic in a way and less experimental. I became very interested in more of a cinematic experience of the Xerrox pieces so I’ve been creating something that would work like a soundtrack and I think this is the reason as well that I was involved in ‘The Revenant‘ soundtrack. We are planning a really interesting show for Xerrox in London in 2020, I’m not sure if I can mention it but… also here's the album cover, confirmed on his insta back in january :)
Blir
I'm not going to pretend like I'm not sad the noisier elements are getting buried further.
Nil
Saw Xerrox Vol 1 live back in 2006. One of the finest shows I’ve attended. I hope he’ll tour Vol 4 as well.
purlieu
Least surprising album cover in the history of album covers.
