We Are The Music Makers | Volume One by Various Somehow there doesn't seem to be a thread for this - so I figured I'd remedy. Incredibly detailed word-building from Priori on his latest. Reminds me of the first time I listened early 90s Orb or FSOL. Immersive and deep. Also pretty glowing review from RA: https://ra.co/reviews/36107

New EP out today : We Are The Music Makers | Volume One by Various If you are serious about IDM and abstract Electronica chances are that you know about Oberman Knocks, whose music was touted by Autechnre's Sean Booth as making Autechre sound 'like a posh garden party.' With ‘Khaptop Arc Phore’ Oberman Knocks continues the tradition of confronting the listener with pointy shards and blunt electronic knifes, but adds a strong emphasis on a softer and more human layer. As stated by himself this release is ‘really a glimpse into some months of both emotional and thought processing around the loss of friendship and love.’

First new proper album since Sacrifices in 2018? I haven't listened to any of his sample collections since, or Fudge Beats, but I'm always curious. Single sounds nice, quite post rock-ish in a Tortoise way. Out on Lex Records March 22. 01 “Forever Chase (Scene One)” 02 “A Lord Without Jewels” 03 “Clean Up Scene Apprentice” 04 “The End Of Air” 05 “She Needs No Introduction” 06 “Onboard, Overboard” 07 “Fare La Corna” 08 “Full Recollection” 09 “Lullabies And Awakenings” 10 “Empath Lords” 11 “Desperate Demise” 12 “Wrong Suspect” https://prefuse73.bandcamp.com/album/new-strategies-for-modern-crime-vol-1 h…

Originally released on Clone in 2020. Now up on Aleksi’s Bandcamp. We Are The Music Makers | Volume One by VariousWe Are The Music Makers | Volume One by Various Both of these are absolutely fantastic! So much so, I decided to pick them both up on vinyl after I got them digitally. But, someone thought it would be cool to end every track in a locked groove, so ya gotta move the needle to hear each track. A little more hands on than I would like when listening to an album… grrrr. Alas, anyway, the digitals of these are some of my fave Aleksi Releases... dig in

This release rocks. 29 tracks. Comes in 2 parts. Seriously worth checking out. The largest body of music ever released by Metalheadz, ‘B292’ is made up of 29 tracks across 2 defined parts with a strong emphasis on old skool influences. It’s SB81’s experiences as a youth that give him a real understanding of this era, something that cannot be replicated and where authenticity always stands tall. Beginning as a small batch of tracks it wasn’t long before Goldie encouraged SB81 to explore the idea of an album, and via several trips around Low Hill in Wolverhampton (where SB81 lived until the age of 30), it was here where the nostalgia and drive took hold for good. …

Actress - Statik - new album out 7th June (smalltownsupersound.com) new album out June 7th. Actress — the moniker of British electronic producer Darren Cunningham — announces his new album, Statik, out July 7th via Smalltown Supersound, and shares singles “Dolphin Spray” & “Static.” Cunningham’s latest studio album is imbued with a sense of freedom and stillness. From conception through creation and release, Statik has been blessed with an almost unnatural ease. For Actress, who wrote the majority of this record in an extensive flow state, the celestial and expansive project serves as a testament to artistic liberation. “Static,” a shadowy and buzzy ambien…

Electronic music composer David Morley returns to De:tuned with the live recorded ‘Fashion’ EP. In the early 90s Belgian fashion designer Dirk Bikkembergs reached out to David Morley to ask if he could create a special piece of music for the Paris Fashion Week. The ‘Fashion - Show’ DAT tape recording radiates the energy of David’s thrilling live performance and captures an exciting synergy of art and music during an era that shaped an entire generation.
