What do you guys think of the magazine. *expects enter_a_new_display_name to says something about pitchfork*

http://www.npr.org/blogs/therecord/2010/12/30/132447535/the-year-in-music-dubsteps-identity-crisis My wife heard this on the radio yesterday and forwarded it to me knowing that I listen to certain stuff vaguely defined as "dubstep"... anyway the article is short 'n sweet- - come to find out I've been blissfully unaware of the brostep phenomenon here in the States (thanks WATMM ). Comments are quite entertaining too, I love it how some people get so worked up about whether something is or isn't of a certain genre... On a related note I've pretty much given up trying to sort out the UK bass scene altogether.

Hey everybody! need help finding an artists name! (apologies if this is the wrong place to post this) So, i got this mixed CD from a friend well over a year ago, seeing as it was a mixed CD there was no names to the songs - the first track was this amazing IDM/Electronica style song, very lush and lovely anyway, when I tried to ask him who made the song we soon found out that it was originally mislabeled as a Boards of Canada track (sherbet head, which it most defiantly is not) so, if you guys could give it a listen and maybe see if you know who its by? i've posted this on multiple other forums but to no avail, so hoping you guys might give it a go…

For me it was "Conumber" by Squarepusher, just because I felt like listening to it at the time, about an hour after midnight. How amusing. The length of Conumber, 11:02, is actually 2011 backwards. I swear that's a coincidence. edit: Oh, fuck. Jazz. Closed.

this post is about my music, an album i made titled "2010." nobody could give too much a rats ass of this but i thought it would be an appropriate time to reach out and touch you guys with a slice of humanity (my humanity?) as we head on into the space age of 2011 the album is meant to bring nostalgia at the segments of being alive. the changes we go through and the important memories of our lives that seem to shit off into the distance like they never happened. the music itself is just some synthesizer melodies i wrote with cheap sounding drums and terrible production half the time. it's all terribly amateurish. so either walk away happily/unhappily/? or …
