http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seBJdgMxHz4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvPScl-EXeU Audio quality is great. Tracklist is amazing. In their prime here I'd say. Part 3 should be up in the next few days. This guy who uploads these is on it. Check his channel. I just think this show is particularly good.

I'm excited to bring the denizens of WATMM this first collaborative EP between myself and a good friend of mine. We had talked about making music for awhile and finally got together for a little over an hour and came up with 5 short tracks; 7 in total on the EP. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it. Track listing: 1) Entermission (Samples from Slowdive's track Souvlaki Space Station and Sylvain Chauveau's track Fly Like a Horse.) 2) Untitled Won 3) Untitled Too 4) Untilted (Voices samples from my friends.) 5) Untitled Fore 6) Endtroduction (Voice sample from my friend.) 7) Outroduction (Banjo sample courtesy of my…

For you Ambient Freaks

I found this while going through the ambient discs at Wall of Sound in Seattle.... Sticker read "Strings and Clicks--You'll love it" ~ so of course I thought I'd give it a shot.... was well worth it. It's a pretty experimental album in it's creation, but not really in it's sound scape. You can read more about how and why they made the album.... it's pretty interesting stuff.... but the end result is a beautiful 'stringy' collage.... think Murcov without the glitch.... hints of developing chords, then back to ambient wash.... Well worth checking out if you haven't already. Website

Pith is a collaboration between myself and fellow CSS label-mate IP Config. Our first release "...and Time Stood Still" is a whole voyage revolving around the theories of time. Comprised of a single track broken into 6 movements, beginning in the darkness of the void it slowly moves into the light. Close your eyes, turn the volume up and fall deeply into a lucid dream state. Download or stream for free

http://ejfox.com/recordings/2010/080101-002%202.mp3 I'm curious, because I think its quite good and really creates an atmosphere that can be sensed even in the bootleg's quality. Does this make you have more or less respect for the band? And on that note, what do you think of something like Hollinndagain or Campfire Songs -- two of the more experimental releases by the band?

Benoit Pioulard has been on, almost, constant rotation for the past few months. There isn't one song I have heard from him that I dislike. Are there any artists that make music similar to his? Bibio is the only artist I can think of right now. Thanks.

Hello everyone! Releasing today is the BCH EP. Bliss (Quantum on the boards) is a producer firmly placed in the sounds of dark and funky braindance. Contac (myself) creates sounds of dense ambient with that uncomfortable feeling sorely missed in this sort of music. hautlle is very well-known in many places that has been described as a man of "weird noises, glitch, melodies and broken beats" and "emotional electronica". These three producers, different ideas of their own, all sharing the sound of dark, reflecting music, in one EP to all of you. We hope that this EP is enjoyable to you, and pass it along to your friends if you like it enough! BCH - BCH EP T…

I apologise in advance. I'm I may be fairly gone in the head at this specific moment. All I want is a few people to try this and let me know. 1. Sit in a dimley (real word??? IDK) lit room while you are either fucked or tired (so that covers everyone I guess). 2. Listen to (in this specific order) 'stud' then 'O=0' the whole way through, no stops 'n shit. (By Autechre of course) 3. Tell me how you feel......... I've just recently had one of those moments that you never forget. A musical moment that blows most of my life out the water. Weird it sounds until it fucking happens. Doing the above scenario almost made my brain explode and me think in 4d.…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GScJ7ILfvts Couldn't find a video, but Four Tet's "Angel Echoes" is an example as well. Then there's Vibert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmoFNya6P4Q Be they original or acquired, straight or chopped, sung or spoken, from songs, movies, or the news, how do you feel about vocal samples in your electronic music? Feel free to post other examples as well.

EQ/Mastering question
by Guest fox- 15 replies
- 1.1k views
so i'll start off by saying i'm no audio/mastering whiz. i know my way around a sound editor but i'm no producer. so i have copies of Team Doyobi's Wheels of Anterion on (legit) mp3 and the eq-ing is way off. i suspect that the master used to cut the 7" was used as the source for the mp3 - it's really bass heavy and way out of balance. so here's the question - i know there's a standard curve used to eq vinyl and cut it, so how do i compensate for this in audacity or somesuch?

http://soundcloud.com/uchelfa/quinoline-yellow-mince-meat Short little track, starts getting a melody near the end but then it just tapers off. What a tease. Maybe he'll release a new album this year, the world needs more QY. The Uchelfa website does say "UCHEL009: Coming Soon".
