can't stop watching Isle of Man videos. probably the most incredible racing spectacle on the planet, one tiny island locked down once a year for insane high-speed races along picturesque country/village roads.

upwards of 300k everything starts to blur together. using an Oculus Rift to experience this in 3d would be fab.

Woooooah... that is making me dizzy and fascinated all at once.

it is dangerous as fuck of course, I don't want to underplay that. things go wrong all the time. at 7:35 ^ Guy Martin comes up over a small crest and is airborne for a short period of time as he enters the curving road between two buildings. a couple of years earlier, Bob Price came up on exactly this spot and lost control due to (iirc) a momentary wobble which caused him to fly over the crest and smash headfirst into the building on the right. he died instantly. there's quite a few vids on youtube of it, I won't post them.

IOMTT's been running about 100 years and so far there've been like 230+ fatalities. a few people die at this every year, even spectators sometimes. that's what blows my mind. it's like a death race from some dystopian future.

lol, the guy @ 30 seconds is one of the red dragons from cinematic masterpiece, Undefeatable. "now they're a bunch of crackheads and they do anything they want". best. movie. ever.
