It's all well and good to have a lovely chart to help convince the americans the error of their ways, excepting for the fact that they may have trouble understanding the chart, given the aggressive psychological wall that goes up whenever it's suggested that anything that occurs in their exceptional land, might be perhaps done differently, maybe, please, if you guys would be so kind.

Don't forget Liberia and Burma!

NON-METRIC 4 LYFE! (not really, it sucks)

Conversions are even more confusing because those very slightly depending on local laws. For example, the U.S. statute is different than an Imperial mile because they wanted a slightly easier number to convert to meters. Furthermore, in Texas and anywhere else that was formerly part of the Spanish Empire, for really old properties we still have to convert from varas (it's kind of cool though historically, the Texas General Land Office has an archive Spanish and Mexican deeds from the 1700s.) I'm studying land surveying right now and it's pretty obvious it'd be easier to gather data with SI units, but construction firms are stubborn as hell.

I can't believe anything can be constructed using non-metric units of measurement. Imperial just seems sloppy and imprecise.
