Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool

Recommended Posts

Guest bitroast

being a bit late to the radiohead party ( got into them ~2003~2004) ... i'm pretty shocked at all the mentions of people hating kid a.

i always guessed NME and the like hated Kid a, but never really experienced much in the way of people and fans talking negatively of it. must've been too young / too late.

after i saw them live for the moon shaped ass tour, it was striking how boring the new material was. night and day compared to the old stuff, it really stuck out like a sore thumb. its not terrib

Daydreaming always reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmO7TdQfcKs

anyone heard if they’re ever gonna finish this? these demos they put out are okay at times but still waiting on the actual album to pass judgment.

I'm a big fan of Hail to the Thief. I liked the anything goes approach of that album and it sounds like they had fun making it even if they didn't(maybe they did)

a friend who is obsessed with Amnesiac sent me this, what an awesome read:

(sorry for the bump but i didn't know where else to put this)

Yeah, really great read, works well to listen as you read. Would be amazing or unnerving (both?) to see people drawing this level of meaning from your own creations.

Just saw this on the radiohead subreddit. If it's legit, that is fucking wicked.

EDIT: Seems like it is real. Very cool marketing. Here's an article:

Imagine coming home one day to find unsolicited art about an upcoming album from one of your favorite artists, how cool is that. Imagine coming home to find an envelope from AE with LP12 artwork. I'd shit myself

I had King of Limbs mailed to me and still get the W.A.S.T.E emails from when I signed up when Kid A was released and I didn't get nothing :(

It's Radiohead so they have to release it in a new and crazy way, right? This time they'll release it without telling anyone - ever.

:maybe:
