@maxwellsq Really glad you are okay, I hope your family and loved ones are as well. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have my life and city turned upside down with such horrific events.

In the face of feeling helpless,ive contributed some meager monetary help, that won't change the tide of the war but will maybe do some good . Mainly I have been counting my blessings lately. I started crying after going on a hike to realize what a privelege to be able to recreate safely and easily.

If you don't know, Mearsheimer has been arguing for many years  - since the last crisis in 2014 basically - that NATO-expansionism is very much the cause of all this mess.

Ukraine is only defending itself.  Why should they have to sign up to Russian terms to get them to leave (and then spend the next 20 years trying to rebuild all the shit that's just been dropped on them)

We ,here in Ua,  want war to end more than everybody else believe me. But I also don’t want to live in so called ХНР (KhNR) , isolated , under putin and with all that schizophrenic russian propaganda . I was actually pro - russian person before this , had russian friends , I worked in Russia some years ago , I know that country .And it is not a free country. Invading your neighbor and bombing schools under some far fetched historical conclusions is a clear sign that Putin and all his “friends” lost view of reality.
