at first i thought animal collective's new one was really good but then i heard grizzly bears newest (awsome live show at the pabst from this tour too) and i've read on some other places that they say this album is but that was before i heard the new megafaun - holy shit all tiny creatures - also awesome but now i've downloaded the new single from volcano choir, sounds amazing, this might be the album of the year what is your fav of this year so far?

Here are the names I selected from the ideas thread. This is a semi final poll, with the top 2-3 going on to a final poll UNLESS there is a landslide of votes for one name. The poll will run until voting slows down to a virtual stand still, but surely not for more than a week, so go ahead and get your vote in! It's looking like the release of this compilation will be in mid/late September, or in October. It will depend on the mastering schedule & process mostly. Just a reminder for those doing tracks, the deadline is THIS Sunday August 23rd. A big thanks to everyone that submitted a name idea!

I first listened to this album a couple days ago at a friend's house. It really blew me away. Lovely instrumentation, almost like medeski martin and wood meets post rock but much more lush. Anybody else heard this album? There seems to be no mention of it on watmm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tiNDgk-zAs

It might already have been posted (ran a search and didn't see anything), but Lone posted a link to a track from his new album that's been put up on youtube. If this is any indication of the quality that shall be heading our way soon, this will be one of the best of the year. Enjoy, my pretties: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOIXncFlJ7g

So I have recieved some pretty nice submissions for this compilation, and am expecting many more. While trying to pass the time until the deadline for new submissions, I wanted to go ahead and choose a name. However, I can't really think of a good one and thought watmm would be better suited to brainstorm. I think it really needs a good unique name that helps it stand out. If you were browsing a magazine and saw "Tribute to Antarctica" you might think it was just some pictures or something boring. But if you saw "WATMMZ PPL DO ANTARCTICA" u may just go and pay $1000 for it. So go ahead, put down a one liner. After a while I will close the thread and put the best…
