ohhhhh yes! i'm all over this. new 2d worms game coming to the switch :music: early purchase no brainer.

Yeah saw that as well ! The Switch seems like the perfect device for a Worms game btw.

There's so much good stuff coming on that console before year's end...Haters will probably say there's almost only reissues planned but that's a load of them nonetheless. And mostly good games.

I can't wait for Axiom Verge, Stardew Valley and Lumo to come out for instance !

The 3rd party developers smell money and are finally on board, fuckin EA still waffling but screw em. I think 2018 will solidify this console as one of the greats, 3DS development will have mostly dried up, so devs can focus on one Nintendo console now. And the indies keep on coming, hopefully the mobile ports won't flood the system, I think Nintendo can see that would be a detriment.

broke down and just double purchased botw (this time on wii u, a console you can actually buy). holy shit this game is good. it's very remniscient of mgsv in that it's a massive open world and a lot of freedom to the order you approach it in. was really getting into a groove before the power went out x_x

Hollow Knight is a great metroidvania. Slightly too easy to lose your way and have no idea where you're meant to go, but fun nonetheless to explore and find stuff. Music is stellar, too.

I've been playing this too, very cool. Lush art style and sound design. Definitely easy to get lost before you find the map to a new area.

I've also been firing up Fallout 4 again, mostly just to fuck around with console commands. Lots of fun spawning hundreds of enemies around your settlement and letting the missile turrets have at em.

If you had a Switch (to play the Switch version you said you owned), you'd be able to play it without the power on in the house (at least until the battery died)...

Playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 and it turns out you gotta collect 9999 star bits to get the final star... so now I'm supposed to farm the 3000 star bits I need, with all other 241 stars already collected... yeah fuck this, that's the biggest middle finger i've gotten from a game ever

that's a pretty big if

;p

once the power comes back on the struggle will be with the missus as to who gets to play when -_-

Sounds like an excuse to get a second TV and get a Switch so you can both play at the same time

X-Com Enemy Unknown (2012) is eating me alive.

I'm resuming my XCOM 2: War of the Chosen (the new expansion) and got as far as the escort mission for the Reaper and Skirmisher peace negotiation, where you have to wipe out the new Lost zombies on the way.

But after saving and exiting out of the game and then launching it again, I found out that all of my saves disappeared. WTF.

According to the Steam forums it's a permissions issue with Windows firewall. I'll try to troubleshoot it more later.

just started divinity original sin 2, which comes out of early access tommorow. so far seems as fun and challenging as the first one.

having realised how fun turn based strategy can be, the XCOM's are definitely next on my list.

Destiny 2 has me hooked, there's a LOT of improvements over the first game.

yeah there's a review somewhere titled "It's Destiny, without the bullshit", which is really apt. No fat, just straight to the chase.

There's some annoying issues here and there, and I'm not sure how I feel about it for casual pvp, but otherwise a vast improvement.

i appreciate you for appreciating premium pc gaming in this thread that's been overtaken by console trash. the first game's tactical/rpg gameplay was probably the best in genre, and i do remember putting many hours into it. but something about the story click and the general cutesy tone just didn't feel right, it began feeling like a drag after a while and i didn't feel compelled to finish it, it just didn't engage on that level like witcher 3 managed to do. i will try this new one though, hopefully they improved in this regard, because gameplay wise it was pretty much perfect.

im only 4 hours in, but the story does seem a little darker. there isnt any voice acting on the early access either, so it has less of a specific tone to it. this time its not so much the undead as the threat but a fascist group of anti-sourcerors. using source appears to be a new combat mechanic which you a start off blocked from using due to a prisoner collar type thing, but im sure it will get taken off later on.

also they've fixed the inventory system so its not a pain in the arse to figure out which characters are best suited to a certain item. that got a little bit tedious having to flick between each character on the first one.
