Blockhead - Interludes After Midnight

And blockhead's just an amazingly consistent hiphop producer, no love for this inventive funky ass record?

Totally overlooked this! He's always been a bit underrated imo.

Kid Koala's album 12-bit Blues was pretty good too:

Vaervaf - Hipcatch

The Caretaker - Patience (After Sebald)

overrated RIP will surely win.

Oh woops, I thought Patience (After Sebald) came out in 2011. Change my Extra Patience nomination to Patience.

I second Vaervaf - Hipcatch

Forgot to nominate Kid Koala's 12-bit blues

And I'll nominate Matthew Friedberger's Matricidal Sons of Bitches again for good measure.

And overrated indeed. I just feel like I'm listening to Selected Ambient Works 85-92 (Deep Bass Remix).

I was thinking Patience was 2011 as well, but if its 2012 get my vote as well. Gorgeous album.

Also was Demdike Stare elemental 2012? If so that should be nominated, I dont think its as good as Tryptch but is still really fucking good.

I believe the 3rd and 4th EPs were out this year so I just counted the whole thing as if it wasn't fully released until the whole deal was out. Rose EP was by far the best one. Totally agree about Tryptych though.
