Completely bogus, all please disregard this. Anyone could just write this (oh he wrote 'humans' on SC, might as well do it now)

 

First of all, Richard was done with Rephlex for a number of years now and was happy it was done (end of era argument).

Second of all, they were just finished with giving every Rephlex artist the rights to their tunes back (hence all the sounclouds, which takes me to...)

Thirdly, Cylob has just released a new album last month on his own SC together with all his Rephlex stuff on it too.

 

AB6 has been already given for 90% and SAW3 is just a fabled made-up fan dream.

 

Also, the CCAI is not a contract breaker.

he isn't releasing this as Aphex Twin, and technically, there still was no official confirmation that this is apex

if he didnt want this to be official, it's pretty logical that warp wouldnt scream about it on every corner

those are ones he renamed while uploading, like the mp3 file for moow is "dixons theft -mooow" and ep string is "bell bass". glockenspiel TEAC does seem to be the odd one out, though. anyway i'm way too nitpicky about this shit.

I think maybe for my own tagging purposes and sanity, I'm gonna consider the track names as they appear on SC canon. I'm kind of all over the place with how I tag Aphex tracks. For ICBYD, I typed them exactly as he wrote them on the back cover, but I didn't do the same for RDJ Album. Why? Fuck knows. One thing is clear: I need more hobbies.

Warp just tweeted how CCAIpt2 was #4 on the Dance/Electronic Billboard Chart. They're also following this account on SC as well. I don't think they're too mad about what's happening here. Then again I'm not on the inside so this is all speculation. Is Warp really the big bad record label in this situation?
