I think we can all agree that this is one of the best albums of the 90s Jesus christ I love it so much. Maybe the only all girl band I actually enjoy. It's a shame that everyone knew Sugar Water (which is a great track) when it might the weakest on the album. how could you not love this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOL8fDISewA also their cover of The Candy Man is incredible. They are so underrated.

given the kind of year this douchebag has had, the odds of this album being any good were pretty slim. but hat's off. kanye's done it again. this might be his best album. every track is amazing.

I just saw this today, no doubt it's jazz (after all its Herbie Hancock). Still though it brought a smile to my face. I had a pretty great dad, but this guy would have been be a good alternate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKoisNv1ftw Edit: Just because I love to edit my own posts.

Cracked.com funny yet sometimes interesting, someone brought this to my attention because she knows I'm an Aphex Twin fan. So I thought i'd post it here: 6 Songs That Were Decades Ahead of 'Groundbreaking' Music Fingerbib is the track they link at least Aphex ranks before NIN and Radiohead!

i came across this video; there's a bit of web-hype about it. i don't really pay attention to the hiphop scene much but it strikes me as pretty fucking rad, the track as well as the video: [youtubehd]XSbZidsgMfw[/youtubehd]

i know there's quite a few on this forum that live in the greater LA area--i grew up in and around los angeles but moved to the midwest years ago for a job and ended up settling down here. back in the late 80s and into the 90s, i used to spend my week looking forward to the "rodney on the 'roq" show on sunday nights on kroq. i discovered so many great bands via rodney over the years, and couldn't understand why he wasn't on in prime time in place of the tripe they aired. i finally got around to watching "the mayor of sunset strip", a documentary from 2003 about rodney. if you haven't seen it and are a fan of great music, particularly british pop/rock, check it ou…

your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to post daily in this thread for thirty days. a 'day' in the context of this thread means you post something, go to sleep (drug binges excepted) and then you can post something else when you wake up. you must ideally post a youtube link to a song (if you can't find a youtube, i guess you can just name the song, but youtubes will make it better) every day following the criteria below. please do not post your entire list in one go. that will ruin things. please do preface your post with what day you're on. and i don't want to hear any 'BAWWWW I CAN'T PICK A FAVOURITE SONG' whining either. pick something, it's just a thre…

Eden Grey - Tree Branches
by Guest SecondaryCell- 0 replies

Raw mechanized noise flowing through digitized and crumbled spaces are ever apparent on Tree Branches, Eden Grey's recent outing. It's the sense of bewilderment that solidifies Tree Branches‘ calmness and further emphasizes the fact that this album was created while Eden Grey lived in solitude out in the country in 2010 ... read more

Mind Bokeh is amazing

I need to figure out how Bibio processes his vocals primarily on all of the tracks on Mind Bokeh. I mean I recognize the massive amounts of vintage processing as in tape saturation and warble... It's just... there is something else. I would love to contact him, if anyone has any leads?

Blipperty Blip. Blipperty Bleep. Blipperty Blip. Bliperty Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! Holy Fuck! The fucking radar is spooling away, some sort of gnarly fucking leviathan is showing up on my rusty fucking radar! I quite like this band though I aint hipperty-hip with everything these Mighty Mother Fuckers have done. I really like this new tune. I hope my beloved Watmmers you do too. This track is from a rock opera they have just written. Mmmmmmmm the dreaded rock opera. Fuck it. All I have is Chemistry of Common Life, these dudes seem to release a lot of music. Maybe I ought to go scouting for more......

i am looking for intelligent drum n bass twelves, like Source Direct's Secret Liaison / Complexities or Aquarius' (aka Photek) Dolphin Tune / Aquatic. I have explored pretty much every dnb compilations and mixes, like the Logical Progression or Progression Sessions series, but i am very interested in these twelves. I find them much more enjoyable to listen to. Throw some suggestions please
