I was just thinking about it. If he released these tracks back in early 2008, let's say he started working on these at like 16 yo. Has been like 6 years now, plus all of the older unreleased tracks before the EP... that's a lot of music there we are missing. Why the lack of releases? he's surely sitting under a goldmine by now. Not even short EP's or anything, no online presence to share these tracks... what a waste. Does Rephlex ruin the career of young musicians that get signed by them by being incredibly slow and elusive on their releases, or does the guy just simply do not give a fuck? he seems to care less than Richard if that's the case, I mean, someone explain this…

This was just posted on D´Arcangelo´s facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/664694860226981/?source=3&source_newsfeed_story_type=regular Tonight 20h on Warm FM (104.2FM - Liège/BE and around or streaming http://www.warm.fm/ecoutez-warm/ ) + replay Thursday 1h and Thursday 19h, our program "Urban Toonz" devoted himself to the English label Rephlex Records (launched in 1991 by Aphex Twin and Grant Wilson-Claridge). D'Arcangelo, Rephlex's artist since 1996 with 5 albums and several EPs, we prepared a very varied mix with all the big names on the label, there will include an unreleased D'arcangelo's track. Could anybody record this? I don't have the tech for i…

I suppose this is a tandem thread with my Rephlex CAT# issues. I've been doing my spreadsheet homework/discogs nerd-dom and I was pleasantly surprised that I now am only 77 releases away from owning every Rephlex CD ever released! *pats self on back* *looks at bank account and slowly cries* Including singles, EPs, weird shit like 100% genuine and what not... Now this might seem like a long way to go still but i've well over half-way and that is encouraging. I also have some of the rarer CD releases already under my belt... (Goon for some reason seems quite rare, chimera as well) not sure I've i'll ever take the philosophy of sound plunge, but I'd like to g…

Right now I can only think of two (and maybe three) Luke Vibert -- Kerrier District and Amen Andrews on Rephlex Self-titled stuff on mu YosepH on WARP Mike Paradinas -- µ-Ziq stuff on both Rephlex and mu Das ist Ein Groovybeat, Ja? on WARP If we're including remixes.... then I think third prize falls to Ceephax Volume 1 and 2 on Rephlex United Acid Emirates on mu and then Ceephax mix on selection 16 anyone got any others? Got loads of twos (Drexciya, milanese) but no full on threes... does any of this matter? NO not at all! That's why I hid it in the Rephlex subforum so maybe less people would get irritated. thank you for yo…

soooo which film was it and can I have the soundtrack or is this just made up? I bet a lot of it (if it is true at all) made up the onclements - some weird sexy grooves in that one. and then there is eileenkii which is just a girl moaning over a weird lo-fi synth melody.

So I got D'Arcangelos The Album which I've somehow missed (listening to it for the first time now, sounds good!), maybe because the release was MP3 only. Does anyone have any idea why they would make it an MP3-only release (specifically, why no lossless as other Rephex albums)? I would think licensing/something-or-other but according to discogs this is the only version: http://www.discogs.com/DArcangelo-The-Album/release/2064130 Just kind of curious about the business behind it all.

Do you like this compilation, and what are your favourite tracks? I just bought the vinyl second hand, not having heard the album in many years. it's a solid collection, i didn't really give it much of a chance when it was released. mangle11 pretty much overshadowed the rest of the album for me at that time.

(The first?) Monolith interview in (Italian and English) with Dave Monolith, bit crap questions imo. Why not ask about 'Ellen' and 'Victor' and the intended lo-fi Dopplereffekt-ish sound? Or about Rephlex' recent way of releasing or their website being offline, or if the album will be released on Rephlex or somewhere else, etc. So many opportunities!). Anyway, here it is: http://www.soundwall.it/dave-monolith-dont-call-me-aphex-twin/ TL;DR: "He is also prepping his new Monolith album ‘Touch me’. "Probably in 2014 there will be some new Monolith releases but there are few things that need to be ironed out first. I’ve got quite the backlog of music that could be …

I've been checking out all these articles and interviews that recently appeared with Grant and other Rephlex related people. Did anyone notice they always talk about Wisp and Monolith as the up and coming Rephlex artists, but never tell us anything about Steinvord? There was an interview with Dave Monolith himself as well. He's clearly one of the best on the Rephlex lineup, but Steinvord IMO is probably the best on Rephlex (from the new school) and he doesn't get any mentions and/or tell us anything... new up and coming releases, or any information about who is behind the music... I mean it has been years already. Why they don't want to tell us anything? Didn't Grant men…

Because not everyone 'reads' the kinda creepy Rare RDJ Pics thread and because it's worth it's own thread, the NME article about Rephlex, dating from 2001 already. That's my aunt who used to work for Rephlex back in the day (not Lektrogirl) I'm pretty sure the NME article where this pic was sourced has the names of everyone here. And for scans of that + more also by user 'grit' (thanks alot!)

Ok, once again, please delete this if it is a problem that I'm posting this here. I am only posting our shows here that specifically have Rephlex artists that I feel people here would want to know about. We're not about making money other than to raise enough for the next show. We just want people to come out and experience an amazing night. So yeah, in short, WISP!!!! Face Culler playing his very first second show!!!! (Tacoma got a treat tonight. That was fucking wicked.) and a couple more locals to be confirmed. Friday, February 7th at Re-Bar Seattle 21+ Original post in live dates is here: http://forum.watmm.com/topic/81711-seattle-bonkers-presents-…

hi everyone, Ultrademon is one fine DJ and i would be more than happy to introduce those not familiar with his work to what he does (he's on Rephlex actually!) this is a track from one of his most recent mixes and i was wondering if anyone could help me ID it, or had any suggestions for good sites to find track IDs of this sort.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gB4HMhwERQs&feature=youtu.be i have the whole mix if anyone wants it.. and a handful of others. he plays regularly on Sundays on rwd.fm. the initial track is 'Chatroom With Enya' off his 'Seapunk' album. the track i'm wondering about would be the track incoming.. thanks for any help or ad…
