post your most recent vinyl purchases

I found that Clifford Gilberto album aka Hard Normal Daddy 2 for under a fiver yesterday, which has to be one of my biggest idm bargains. What are yours?

That's a great album, good find. "Clifford" was supposed to have a new album in what, 2015? I wonder what happened with it.

Recent vinyl purchases:

Ceephax - Volume 1 (thanks beerwolf!)

Ceephax - Volume 2 (thanks again beerboss!)

Ceephax - Megalift EP (courtesy of beer again!)

Bonobo - Migration

EOD - untitled

Thundercat - Drunk

Shoobadooby One - Elektrac

All are at home on the kitchen table except Elektrac, I've sadly got a couple days worth of vinyl listening I've not gotten to yet. Still having turntable issues I've not been able to fix.

Edit: Forgot, I also grabbed that smoking deal from Norman Records, got Luke Viberts - Further Nuggets for about $20. Looks like they've got some left but it says "hurry! Limited stock!"

A copy of the remastered Division Bell from the Pink Floyd exhibition at the V&A a few months back. I can sit and gaze at that awesome artwork (with Autechre playing in the background) for hours.

One before that was Radiohead OKNOTOK opaque blue vinyl.

Nothing else to report on the wax front (which basically means my pockets are bulging)

My wife and I recently started a weekly hobby of scourging goodwills, thrift stores and antique shops for cool vinyl, and so far have found some pretty sweet stuff including:

*A dave clarke 12in single in great condition

*Biz markie- just a friend maxisingle lp

*A really weird snoop dog bootleg of gin n juice on side 1 and some early west coast track.

*notorious b.i.g. - hypnotize single (original) lotta surface noise but im super stoked on this one

*several generic y2k era progressive house / trance singles from the uk

*eminem - real slim shady single (lol)

*an awesome new age / ambient lp

*an 80s funk lp of the guy from Shalamar

and some other cool stuff. Super fun hobby, been doing it for a few months now, we wanna go all around small towns here in az to try and see what kinda vinyl oddities we can find. If any of you guys havent looked for vinyl at a goodwill and mosy thrift stores, youre almost guarenteed to find nothing but old crooners, christian music and country, with the occassional carpenters, alan parsons project, oh and tons of barbara streisand lol

Oh man I’ve got almost all of my records from Goodwill. Back in the day it used to be 45 cents per album at my local store — I would pick stuff up just if the cover was good, etc. Tons of decent and great records.

These days I don’t quite have the same luck, and prices are nowhere near as good. But yeah, this is so much fun. I wish I had way more time to poke around at this. #DIGGIN
