http://opaltapes.com/album/acid-drop Really nice mix of bangers and tunefulness on this. Opening track "Drum Machine Makes Me" blasts out the blocks all mad-scientist in the lab style with cheeseball effects smattering the stereo before the perfect plucking counterpoint rushes through to glue the track together with a little melancholy tech. "Berriat Acid" follows with action movie Linn drumming out high pace procedures to the troops... dumb smiles abound! "Compact 31" is all class, sci-fi electro from the warmest place. The B-side open with "None Of This Is Helping", a truly rousing piece of dramatic trancey acid, replete with white hot 303 lines just bla…

Absolutely loving this, the melodies are stunning, the textures are enveloping and the more rhythmic tracks are absolute fucking belters. Came out a couple of weeks ago, think there are only a few tapes left... http://opaltapes.com/album/lux-campaign

This is a compilation made up of the first 5 10" vinyl releases on the Bustle Beats label (a sub-label of Subtle Audio). BUSTLE001 - BUSTLE005 were released between 2012 and 2015. Each vinyl came with a 9x9 inch cartoon sticker which told of a battle to save Jungle music. We've included the sticker artwork in high-res pdf format with this album for anyone who wants to print them out. 'Jungle Will Never Die - Cha !' Tracks: 1. Equinox - The Phantoms (Nebula Remix) 2. Nebula - Sound Barriers 3. LXC - I Know U 4. Senses - Rodneys Choice 5. Nebula - Spectrum Of Styles 6. Enjoy - Way Of No Glory 7. D-Fect - Can U Hear What They Say ? 8. DJ Future - Psychedelic P…

Not sure when it's slated for release but it could end up being his fifth release this year and it marks the first that 030303 records are putting out. The psychedelic artwork is cool and seems strangely approriate. Also, I've never copped anything off of clone but does anyone know if that means a physical release will be a reality for this one? downloadable minimix:

Dunk just released vol.2 of Friday Syndrome! I'm really excited as vol.1 was my favourite release of 2012, and it was free. He's charging 5 euro for this one, which is well worth it! Buy it through his bandcamp, or listen at soundcloud.

Following on from a string of beautiful releases from Chi Factory, Heavenly Music Corporation and Wolfgang Voigt, one of our favourite contemporary ambient labels drops this new double LP of drifting electronics. Most notable for his work with DeepChord, dub techno legend Rod Modell and his partner Chris Troy deliver the second instalment of their WT alias with an equally eerie collection of spaced out sounds from the outer-realm. As you probably know by now, Astral Industries are on a roll. If you like Hubert Noi and Howie B’s ‘Music For Astronauts and Cosmonauts’ then this one is for you!

Here's a link to the release. I feel like I still have a long way to go in my own development as an artist / musician, but I am pretty happy with the jams on this album. All the tracks were composed in my home studio with my hardware synths and drum machines. While the tracks don't adhere to one specific sound, all the tracks are made in the vein of μ-Ziq, Ceephax, DMX Krew, and EOD. edit: Oh, and my favorite tracks are probably "Looking Back" and "Acid Victory".

The extended 2x12" vinyl release includes 2 tracks from the clocolan Arches EP and an exclusive single. Transparent blue and classic black (randomly mixed so it's...like a box of chocolates). Available on Bleep, Juno, etc. should also be arriving at n5MD soon.

Soundtrack to one of the best games out this year, pressed to vinyl, along with its predecessor game's OST. Was stoked to find out it's being sold via the EU store and is not just a Japan exclusive, as this is a fantastic soundtrack and hard to erase from your head once heard. Vinyl contains only a selection from the full soundtrack, but all the best (IMO) tunes are on there. Absolutely cannot wait. Each album can be bought separately, but both OSTs are worth it. From his bandcamp! one night the phantom came and lifted the cursed devizez, this time capsule was left behind. Returning from the mountain dream. having sailed the seven seas of trudgeon. and washed up near reggie. we travelled, with silas as the guide, traversing the multiverse of Sonus Australis. from the crystal-murky waters of Aotearoa the neo-fluoro landscape of the immigrant hominids was recapitulated through an angld lens. to form a hybrid view of rigdom. the master files now lost! these crystalline sketches are all that remain of a long weekend of Progging into the pHuture. Beginning with some techno/time experiments, things accelerated and twisted thr…

New Boris album due out this year on Sargent House. Based on the single, definitely on the heavy side of things. Not sure of the lead single's relation to the original "Absolutego," but this new one is delicious; real thick guitar and bass riffs, and although predominantly uses Takeshi's vocals, Atsuo actually kicks in with vocals in the latter parts of the song, which is the first time in over a decade we've heard his, if I recall correctly. Article below has tracklist and the video for "Absolutego." http://exclaim.ca/music/article/boris_detail_dear_lp_share_video_for_absolutego
