https://aleksiperala.bandcamp.com/album/midnight-sun-1 This album deserves its own thread This is special. Crazy spastic drum breaks mixed with Colundi microtunings and tribal bongo beats. A brand new direction (not just for Aleksi, but for music), I’ve never heard anything like it Please give it a listen, this is wild and beautiful. :)

We Are The Music Makers | Volume One by Various Dark, aggressive, distortion-supersaw-glitch-infused cinematic ambient. Highly recommended, heard this in full from a release listening stream on Bandcamp.

https://opn.warp.net/ His tenth album is in part “a speculative autobiography,” a transmission, a spellbound backwash of digital languages and sonic paranoias, what’s remembered and what’s forgotten, all presented in @eccopn’s trademark melodic touch. ‘Again’ Oneohtrix Point Never [WARP365] 01. Actress - Statik - new album out 7th June (smalltownsupersound.com) new album out June 7th. Actress — the moniker of British electronic producer Darren Cunningham — announces his new album, Statik, out July 7th via Smalltown Supersound, and shares singles “Dolphin Spray” & “Static.” Cunningham’s latest studio album is imbued with a sense of freedom and stillness. From conception through creation and release, Statik has been blessed with an almost unnatural ease. For Actress, who wrote the majority of this record in an extensive flow state, the celestial and expansive project serves as a testament to artistic liberation. “Static,” a shadowy and buzzy ambien…

https://taylordeupree.bandcamp.com/album/sti-ll-2 Probably his most exciting release in a while — 2002's Stil. rearranged and composed and such for acoustic instruments. Thankfully there's still a less-is-more thing here considering the small range of instrumentation (how Temper is pulled off with just clarinets and shaker I don't fucking know).

A new single, Mercy, dropped today along with the announcement that an album is coming on May 31st which will apparently contain Muder One & Invasion as well, meaning that it likely is more of a compilation of unreleased material (as those two pieces, released in early 2022, were recorded 15-to-20 years apart). Mercy is maybe a little less adventuresome from an electronic music perspective than most of Vega's later work, and it's unclear when it's from precisely. I'm guessing mid 90s based on the vocal styling, but we'll see.

Future Sound of London released ISDN in December 1994, Originally with a black cover as a limited release. June 1995 saw an alternative white-covered version released, this had a different track listing on the 4th side of the LP set with new tracks. The music on the album is edited together from various live broadcasts that the duo had transmitted to radio stations all over the world using ISDN networking. At the time ISDN was a relatively new technology that had the bandwidth to carry high-quality digital audio. 2024 Marks the 30th anniversary of this fan-favorite album, to celebrate this the audio from both versions has been amalgamated and sequenced by Brian Dougans. P…

We Are The Music Makers | Volume One by Various Hi everyone. My first full length album, Territoriality is out now. Hope you enjoy it. Cheers! Building where he left off with the cyberpunk aesthetic of last year’s Ascension, Caged Element (Paul Bolstridge of Pirtek and Concealed Sequence), takes us along for another installment of moody techno with Territoriality. Where the former felt more like a trip aboard a spacecraft depicted on its artwork, this new outing offers a patchwork of cinematic vignettes in a city which could plausibly feel either extraterrestrial or like a bleak chapter of Earth’s history. “Monumental Axis” continues to build on the …
