So, what will be in store for watmm in 2019 on the 20th anniversary? Will we finally get the upgrade? Will the second CD compilation get released? Limited edition toothbrush holders or tea pot cosies? None?

Not sure how I feel about this one. There seems to be a certain satisfaction to this movie but it also makes me uneasy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1-NRmuXTls

we have automated ourselves out of jobs soon we will automate ourselves out of music making then perhaps out of existence itself? who is to say. let us ponder these things, and perhaps what it is to be truly Most IDM Hiding the fact that you automated your own job. I believe it was Braintree who automated his own job and nominated this entry, many congratulations to him for being IDM, inadvertently so or not. Let us celebrate by automating enthusiastic responses, sadness for moths, rolling lols, and Uli jokes. Many thanks to everyone poking and prodding along this year with the grab bag of IDM entries we had, voting and shitposting and all.…

We've had multiple topics on the Wire and Battlestar Galactica and Lost, but none for this show as far as I can tell. I started making my way through the first season, and was just kind of going along with it, not terribly impressed, when I saw the episode that deals with the two young grifter kids. Man if that wasn't one of the best hours in television. Loved it! I'm now pretty impressed with this series and hope it continues to be good from here on.

Hello, I put in some time to create a music video for Reunion 2 by AFX (link). It's the first part of a trilogy featuring Steven Spielberg's "Duel" from 1971, so it might be a little bland without the two other parts. The YouTube channel MusicTales (for a lack of a better name) is dedicated to music videos for mostly Electronic Music (so far World's End Girlfriend, AFX, Extrawelt and Trentemøller). A video for "Lost" by Autechre is currently in the making. It's all fairly new. I just like to sync moving images to music I like for fun. WATMM is the only place I know where likeminded people might be hanging around. Feedback would be much appreciated. Edit: Should m…

Is there any cloud services that operate as more of an online external drive, where you can just drag stuff? Dropbox is useless because you initially need everything to be copied to your synced Dropbox file on your c drive, so there is no simple way to move my music folder, which is bigger than my c drive, from my d drive

When you listen to music do you tend to rock back and forth or sway side to side? Used to rock back and forth myself but added swaying side to side a few years ago and swayed side to side almost exclusively for a while when I first discovered it. Now I mix it up depending on the genre I'm listening to, how my mood is and maybe the type of crowd I'm in. (swaying side to side has a decisive cockiness, can be almost flamboyant and adds a certain panache that's not always a good idea to be flaunting) Not asking about bobbing as I feel it's a part of rocking back and forth and/or swaying side to side and people that bob exclusively are super fucked up imho.

Twenty six-year old Miyu Kojima works for a company that cleans up after kodokushi (孤独死) or lonely deaths: a Japanese phenomenon of people dying alone and remaining undiscovered for a long period of time. The instances first began to be reported around 2000, and are thought to be a product of increased social isolation coupled with a greying population. Part art therapy and part public service campaign, Kojima spends a large portion of her free time recreating detailed miniature replicas of the rooms she has cleaned. A word of caution: although recreated without the corpses, some of the replicas can be quite disturbing. http://www.spoon-tamago.com/2018/10/03/miyu-…
