and yeah, you can guess his reaction. With this track, you have to understand what it's about.. I also believe that with any of Richard's music, you need a certain level of musical intelligence in order to take in everything happening in Drukqs per second.. the look on his face when it reached the climax near to the end was indescribable. He said "WTF, THAT IS NOT MUSIC".. Anyone else experienced this when introducing Drukqs to a complete noob, and has never entered the realms of the electronic music world? I guess it is not the most accessible album if Richard's, but it was that album which got me into The Aphex Twin.

It seems to never be seriously discussed, but Aphex has most probably composed tons of music under the influence of psychedelics and perhaps still does, who knows. Most of his pre-drukqs music is very psychedelics-friendly, according to many online psychonauts. He has talked here and there about his personal experience with psychedelics, and so did Luke and Squarepusher. To which degree do you think that psychedelics were influential in the invention of Braindance? Aren't psychedelics braindancing tools?

From Joyrex's site upgrade post: "As some of you may or may not know, we are finally doing a long-delayed upgrade to the forum and site, the first major part being the forums which will happen soon. I know what you're saying - is that "soon" as in "Is Aphex is dropping a new LP soon"? No, not quite (but he is... soon)" I know that the false hype can be strong at times.......but? All the new tunes he has been playing in recent sets. Very similar "more ambient" styles. Is SAW III coming? https://www.reddit.com/r/aphextwin/comments/be4i18/unreleased_material_played_at_recent_live_shows/

I know there probably isn't any real way to know for sure, but how much of this track do you think is solely RDJ's voice from that sample at the beginning? the breaks at around 1:40 sound like breaks sampled from elsewhere, but theoretically he could have created these samples from the original, right? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I can't find much at all (on this forum or anywhere else for that matter) about the production of this album, and so much of it makes me go "how did he even do that?"

I made an anthology album using my favorite tune from every album Richard has released (no digitals). I omitted singles and EPs, as well as albums that haven't been oficially released. Combined EPs like On, Ventolin, Hangable Auto Bulb and Come to Daddy is included - so is Girl/Boy EP because of the American Release of Richard D. James Album, and finally Chosen Lords is included as well. Did I forget anything? Twintwin at the Syldaves The Inrockuptibles n ° 311 - October 30, 2001 Interview by JD Beauvallet After announcing his retirement the last, Aphex Twin returns with a furious and exciting double album: Drukqs. Very rare but generous in interview, this fundamental character of the electronic music is finally explained on his characters, his methods, his origins and his designs: a young man as sweet as his music seems indomitable, as close as hi…

Morning all - does anyone have a screen grab of the SAW II sleevenotes that came with the cassette edition? They’re buried in my garage somewhere but I can’t find them. The notes - which look like they’ve been etched into metal and are hard to read - might come with the vinyl, too, but I only have on tape/CD.

Some dudes in line next to me at Avant Gardner were telling me that there was some speculation about a secret show in LA between the Coachella dates. This is the particular date/venue they mentioned... https://www.1720.la/event/1823526-special-guests-los-angeles/ Obviously, this is basically a shot in the dark, but has anyone else heard anything about this? My guess is that Richard won’t be doing any secret shows, but I figured news would be found here first.

Hello everyone, this is my first post and I figured I'd start it off with this. All 8 of my Aphex signed albums. All signed by Richard himself in the mid to late 90s. Grails!!

I knew Analogue Bubblebath was in high demand but, was surprised because early vinyl editions of all the RD James catalog demands a hefty price tag as well. https://blog.discogs.com/en/aphex-twin-ranked/?utm_source=social&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=Artist_2018_11_30

Does anyone know if the AudioTelepathy video of Aphex Twin's full set at Day for Night is still hosted anywhere online? It was removed by Warp after T69 Collapse was released, and I'm hoping that it's still up somewhere so I can download it. This is the link to the original video,
