Hello everyone. In the last few years I started writing texts for podcasts. Final product would be awesome if words could be followed by music released by artists under labels... Copyright says no (and that's totally right) So you have to choose songs and sounds from libraries destined for this or you could also ask to a friend if it's ok for him if you use his song. But suddenly, AFX's soundcloud dump occurred to me! Some of the most minimal tracks would be great as podcast background and it's not illegal at all, since they're not released on label (except for a few later released on warp's site) I think it's a very fair use, not an "exploitation" So …

weird title huh. like SAW and SAW2 are pretty much descriptions. RDJ is just a self titled thing. all his other releases are made up words or nonsense phrases. whats up with this one?

Same year as basic channel. Proper dub techno prototype. Richie needs more props in the now horrible dub techno scene. Just saying.

i'm always impressed at the impact this tune makes despite its apparent repetitiveness, and i now know why. i'm willing to expose my music analysis of it if anyone's interested, hopefully i'd get insight from yous, as i think it could contribute to a better understanding of: - why this tune in particular is so tight, - what great music is made of, - why that is that most if not all of the tunes you've made or will make suck balls, and how to remedy that.

I'm gonna be perfectly honest I hadn't listened to him for a long long time. Just didn't gel with me anymore. I was thinking about selling a bunch of Aphex vinyl - Brad Stryder, AFX Hangable Autobulb etc but I thought I better listen to this stuff for old time sake and to my surprise the nostalgia kicked in and I found myself enjoying a number of the tunes!! So anyways looks like I'll be holding onto his vinyl for the moment. I was listening to Gak and Polygon Window over the weekend both of which I have on vinyl too but I don't think I would have got rid of those. Well there's my little story hope you enjoyed reading it. ;-)

Approximately 752,976,000 seconds had passed since this great album was released, yet I don't see many people talking about it around here... why is Ventolin such an underrated record? each single track is unique and amusing, pure genius! consider for instance The Coppice Mix:

Hello WATMM. I used to hang out a lot here, and then I stopped. I've got a complete near mint Analord binder set with all the vinyls including the black and white one. How much USDs will someone paypal me for it? Btw Syro was dope.

Man, I was listening to this on the way to work this A.M. and it's creeping up on Ziggomatic in the favorites category. The middle section creeps up so subtly that you almost don't realize that you're floating in this blue ether of ambient loveliness, right before that "skidder" effect rolls in to round out the song. Anybody know who's singing on the track? Nannou?

Via his agency's (Little Big) mailer: "Aphex Twin: Playing 3 high-profile European shows this year, with more to be announced for 2019. Now looking at headline summer festival options." Just a heads up to those who are missing him this year. Hoping for some more stateside appearances although that seems bleak.

Is it really the case that the only people who can get a legal copy of CWLP are the people who backed the Kickstarter? Is there nowhere else to get a legitimate copy?
