Heheh yeah, that song was awful and I blamed Moby before walking out of the room.  Pretty sure Lynch is using studio versions of all the songs, and for some reason producers are still slapping autotune on everything.  That song would have been terrible either way.  Some songs are just born bad.

 

 

Album version has no autotune (it was co-written by Lynch as stated in credits) and genius says it's also produced by Lynch & Hurley. It must be a deliberate edit, most likely some sort of succession to her Mulholland Dr. scene (fake-true interference).

even at its most linear its still worth the plunge for 50mins, surely? the alternatives arent great unless you're knee-deep in Tarkovsky & everything else seems futile, i could just about get the latter

 

surrealism like Twin Peaks doesnt come around too often & Marcel Duchamp's been dead a while, give it another go, it'll repay you for it

 

either that or its a Top Hat fart to establish both the passing of wind & snobbery status symbol

I dont worship @ the alter of surrealism or any alter, but with cinema generally, just like music & literature, there are icons who deserve respectful recognition, praise & citing allusions to them in Lynch's work seems common sense given its a Twin Peaks fred.

 

Tarkovsky WAS the chosen one, scientific fact, its not science or a fact, but still a scientific fact

Just biked in to say that it's high time for the westerners to stop looking for approving measurements of academic strata in order to enjoy a work (of art).

However, unfortunately for some, certain aspects of one's consciousness require some broadness in terms of understanding and acceptance. It might help to sink into yourself or read a couple of books. That is not to become indoctrinated or anything. More like calculus. The narrative in TP S03 is fairly obvious or even down-played (yes, dumbed-down). I mean if you compare it to intentionally cryptic works of people that cwmnrbrawncity detailed. Stop expecting to be spoon-fed everything. the Twin Peaks gangsters are supposed to be part menacing and part comical, so i think it works.

yeah i get that.. and i liked vince vaughn too and he was great in Clay Pigeons.. anyway.. i just don't see jim belushi as a character yet.. he just seems like jim belushi playing a gangster.. i'm not sold on it yet.. hopefully that moment will come.
