The Shaggs?

Thee conceptual beginning of the Shaggs came from Austin Wiggin's mother who, when her son was young, had predicted during a palmreading that he would marry a strawberry blonde woman, that he would have two daughters after she had died, and that his daughters would form a popular music group. The first two predictions proved accurate, so Austin set about making the third come true as well.[8] Austin withdrew his daughters from school, bought them instruments, and arranged for them to receive music and vocal lessons. The Wiggin sisters themselves never planned to become a music group, but as Dot later said, "[Austin] was something of a disciplinarian. He was stubborn and h…

I found this photo outside of Kroger grocery here in Virginia (here in the USA).. On the back it reads, “Mom and Dad, 1955”. I would love to return it to its' owner. It looks like an old and precious photo. Maybe if we all share it, we can find the owner!!

Creating this for the WATMM discussion of all things Minecraft and Minecraft related.. www.minecraft.net So what is Minecraft? It's a sandbox game centered around creative, emergent gameplay with multiple single player and multiplayer modes. The goal is to mine, create, and if playing survival mode, to stay alive through the night. It currently costs $13 USD or 10 euros and is alpha stage of development, though purchase buys you the final product as well, once released. It's multiplayer survival mode is currently unfinished, but allows for creative play with unkillable monsters. Worth noting is just how large the maps can get, with its incremental 3d voxel-sq…

I have a dream, that someday I will be on a stage. I will not be singing, nor will I be playing any instruments. Instead, I am experimenting. On stage is a table full of science equipment. Vials with substances, electronic parts, knobs, buttons, microscope and so on. I will be playing these things. And when I play them you hear music. While the music plays, I am experimenting and my goal is for people to not look at me. Because my experiments are secret. Thats why I make sure my experiments make noise. So people will dance. And not look at me. And my experiments. On that day I will be The Mad Scientist

Ive had a dry cough for over a year. Don't smoke or drink. Something is there, but never comes up. Ive been on Benadryl , robotussin, and now I drink a whole bottle of delsym The Delsym works best. A whole bottle is what it takes. Im serious. Gets expensive. If I take too much Benadryl I go nuts and feel like im dying. Dextromethorphan does the trick but sooo much cost, Been to all the docs. Allergy, ear nose throat, going to a pulmonologist next week They gave me tramadol, quasi opiate, took 200 mg to make the cough stop. So they can't help me. Already had surgery for a hernia. I take Pepcid. They say that can cause cough but Im 6 months out from the operatio…

I think we need to finish our aborted project of getting an audio version of the 21st-century masterpiece "Forum Rules" recorded for posterity. I've kicked us off by inviting a special guest to introduce the rules and read the first few sections. Someone else take over for a few sections and then whoever else wants to carry on can pick up from where it left off. Let's hear those beautiful voices! WATMM Rules 01.mp3

i've looked around a bit and gotten some recommends from someone who's used a VPN for years. the internet seems to point at NordVPN or ExpressVPN. Mulvad seems interesting. very politically motivated. I downloaded the app for FreeDOME from f-secure. they have a super easy free trial. I tried various server connections. some were pretty slow. some pretty fast. NordVPN gets lot's of internet cred for their policies. F-secure seems more corporate as VPN is only a slice of what they do but they more or less have same policies as most other VPNs. some differences. Mostly i've read that none of these services have ever gotten a court order from their local …
