meant to type 60 meters! New research published in the journal Science Mad max scenarios could be fun but what will the militaries of the world be up to as civilization declines into ruin because entire cities are effectively disappearing? Hard to even imagine a post-apocalyptic world with loose nukes and modern armies. Enjoy these times before the fall.

Does anyone know of a cloud storage software that allows you to play whole albums or playlists without having to leave your pc at home on or without giving out your credit card credentials? Dropbox only allows to play one track at a time... so I'm looking for a good alternative.

Hello, WATMM. I have a feeling about how this will go, but I thought I should try it anyway. So quite a few of you live in the UK, and I know several of you have moved out of the US. Well, my personal life isn't going well, and I'm considering options. I might need to get the fuck out of here, mainly for my mental well-being. I'm not particularly tied to any geographic location. I have visited a few places outside the US, and some of my fondest memories were of Edinburgh, Scotland. Anyway, how does a schmuck like me, who has lived and worked in the midwest of the US for the past few years (the northeast for years before that), go about living for a year or two in the UK, …

I'm playing at Red Gates on Saturday night, sometime after 11pm. It'll be my first show, aside from a party a few years back where no one listened to IDM... except for ESSINES!! and Goiter Sanchez. I know there's a forum for live shows, but this is pretty last minute and I want to give Vancouver watmmers the head's up in a place they may actually see it. Plugging shows is not my strong suit. PM me for further details (the address is a secret apparently... but I share secrets via PM when the situation calls for it.) Facebook event page is here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1681173372156222/permalink/1689826917957534/ The other artists sound pretty rad too. …

Yeah I always wanted to create this topic, but I always told myself to wait... so here it is and I hope there is room on this great forum for this topic. For me personally, electronic music and drugs were always associated with each other. I'm not talking about club culture - that would be to obvious. When I started to listen to good music - early Pink Floyd in my case - I also started enjoying weed. When I discovered electronic music like Aphex Twin or Clark I continued smoking weed and found out about psychedelic drugs, mostly acid. Whenever I produced electronic music I was at least high on weed, in the last years it even took some psychedelic afterglow (when the e…

I used to love her character on King of the Hill, so her death was always a weird one to me. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11/19/brittany-murphy-may-have-been-poisoned

Around 8 o' clock this morning there were two explosions at Brussels Airport (Zaventem) and one in a metro station near EU Commision Headquarters. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/mar/22/brussels-airport-explosions-heard The atmosphere is quite tense, even here in Antwerp. Schools are advised to stay closed and keep the children inside. My girlfriend is a kindergarten teacher and may have to stay till 9 o' clock tonight. It's a guess right now that it may be connected to the arrest of Salah Abdeslam a few days ago.

Surprised there wasn't a thread about this YouTube channel before now - doing a search gave me absolutely nothing. There's a load of conspiracy shit about it over at the Reddit, but I'm more interested in the content itself. Some of it gets pretty "IDM" or whatever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmrGzzW4eTc

Blockbuster Reboots are so cool. we've been having the pleasure of being able to reexperience reimaginations of our childhood dreams on the big screen with our thinning hair and soft bellies and our cynical view on the world and it has been really shit tbh for the most part. Thanks, Ridley, it has been brilliant! (it's just so easy to blame him for everything) saw that Beetlejuice apparently is gonna happen. I mean come on. They're trying really hard now... So, wondering basically what next? Tremors? Honey, I shrunk the kids? Can't really think of anything worth rebooting anymore,

Apparently, being a writer was voted the most coveted job in a YouGov poll. Is it the possibility of JK Rowling / EL James money perhaps? And it's hard not to notice that more people than ever before are writing and self-publishing in the hopes of becoming the next James Patterson. Who wouldn't want to be that? 96 novels published and all of them written by other people...living the dream, that man. Living the dream. http://www.theguardian.com/books/2015/feb/17/author-uk-dream-job I've noticed a few other people mention they're writing / trying to write / thinking about writing stories of varying lengths, so why not a thread for that? If you have any work to post …

After a (very) small cash windfall I decided to bleep this today after dithering for ages. Glad I did, it really is a lovely album. Sounds pretty accomplished to me and I think I'm going to have it on rotation for a while now. Any more love on WATMM? I'm guessing so, forum search brought up the recent purchases thread but I can't be arsed to sift through 50-odd pages.

earlier this day, a moving car was destroyed by an explosive device in Berlin. Interesting because it doesn't look like a terrorist attack, the device was strong enough to kill the driver immediately but that's it, looks more like murder or a freak suicide imo. no real further info available as police are still investigating the scene http://www.rbb-online.de/panorama/beitrag/2016/03/polizeieinsatz-auf-der-bismarckstrasse.html inb4 terrorism

Anyone else really, really excited for this? I am not wealthy by any means and currently have less than $1k in my pocket. Still considering donating what I can anyway. So far it looks very effective and safe.. Guess we'll have to wait and see how human trials go in the USA. oops here's the link https://www.parsemusfoundation.org/projects/vasalgel/

I am really enjoying the hell out of this show and I am pretty sure the showrunner/writer will keep giving us quality work. Check it out if you haven't yet and don't be fooled by the generic name of the show. Rust Cohle is one of the coolest characters ever. here is an article about the show creator Nic Pizzolatto, spoilers are in the article, you have been warned. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/02/04/inside-the-obsessive-strange-mind-of-true-detective-s-nic-pizzolatto.html Spoilers will be everywhere in this thread as well.
