http://www.itsnicethat.com/articles/nicer-tuesdays-june-2017-weirdcore-140717 Watched this the other night - lots of nice insights. Loved the Hecker visuals explained as they were real nice in 2009...... ... whatever will he do next! PS even though he's pixelated I don't think that's him at Flow plus as he says himself he's working with the lighting guy

Hiya. Anyone know where to find a good recording of the Houston Day for Night set RDJ did a while back? I know a limited edition record was pressed (One for sale on Ebay for 10K at the moment..lol). But there has to be a good recording of it somewhere no? All I've found are poor quality audience recordings with people chatting the whole way through.

Now I know last week's turnout was a little low (due to the fact that I had finals and all lol), but this week should be great, cause we've got the RDJ Album and its companion EP (yes, it's a companion EP), Girl/Boy. The child of Hangable Auto Bulb's drill breaks and Melodies From Mars/AB5's lighthearted melodies and synth work, have a great listening week!

The Future Shock exhibition that’s on till the end of August in London features a Weirdcore installation with music from Aphex. Can definitely recommend this even without the Aphex connection. Almost everything here is worth seeing https://www.180thestrand.com/future-shock

Melodies from Mars is a brilliant collection of quirky playful other-worldly tunes. Every now and then I come back to this album and it never gets old. It's as if Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder) made these himself during his down time.

just re-reading some of the news articles going around in 2010 when richard casually announced that he "has six albums already completed". everyone on the techno scene was hyped, and there were loads of threads about it in here. if you were here in 2010, you'll remember just how exciting this was. we were all running around guessing what these albums could be, what they sounded like. and of course it was impossible to know - that was the magic of it. well, here we are. how do we fare? this material has surfaced in various places. first we had the Noyzelab Interview Tracks - released alongside richard's SYROBONKUS article in 2014 - which included a han…

So then, since we're basically snowed in here - time for some top secret project revealing: My oldest son, Kaito, and I will be opening a small new store here in Ypsilanti called "Technical Equipment Supply". Clothing, decks (Palace), music - lots of 7" and cassette, but other vinyl as well - the majority is modern funk/boogie & Detroit-related hiphop. And since we're doing all of that, why not use this opportunity to make a super-label featuring a bunch of my buddies? So, there is also a new label happening alongside the store - TECH.EQPT.SPLY. 1st release (TECH-002) Soundmurderer/Atlas 7" 2nd release (TECH-004) Aphex Twin 10" 3rd release (TECH-006) Madlib 7" and …

While searching eBay for their current AFX listings, I came across this apparently official Aphex Twin Come To Daddy snowboard. http://cgi.ebay.com/aphex-twin-snowboard-a...1QQcmdZViewItem The seller is currently asking for $1,000 Buy It Now + $50 shipping. Does anyone have any info on this snowboard? Is it official like they claim? Are any of you fan boys going to actually buy this thing? In my opinion it does look pretty cool. lol.

A bunch of idiots chose Kanye West. I'm done. Fucking idiots. If you can't understand that RDJ is the once in a lifetime, premiere electronic music artist of our time and of maybe all time, you're a fucking trashbag. Sorry to come in so strong here. Most people just don't really get what they're hearing, how much skill it takes to make, and what separates originality/skill/expression from run of the mill copycat work.
