Not entirely sure why I'm making this thread but since the demographic here is similar in many ways this might help? Worth a shot. Alright I'm 20, twerking on a computer science degree thingy. I basically have sit all day, except for 4 days a week where I get about 30 minutes of exercise starting recently. I work on school (for many hours )I sit, I make music (for many hours) I sit. I go to work I sit (for many hours). The past year it's really started to take a toll on my back. I was much more active in school, played sports etc. but now that I'm getting to adult life the free time window has to be allotted to the things that are important to me. The research shows o…

I'm pretty sure that the Beatles band smoked a marijuana once or two. But now that Paul is the only remaining Beatle. Do you think he still gets dank in his spare time? Or do you think his to square these days and finds it boring.

Disclaimer - If you think Haute Tension is a good film then kindly leave this thread and proceed no further. Each week friends and I gather to watch a horror and as the last few months has been relatively tame we crave shocks for the festive season. I want mad, violent and disgusting films. I think I have exhausted the numerous lists of such things online and need watmm's knowledge. Here are notable screenings that we would like to match. Martyrs Inside Ebola Syndrome A Serbian Film Braindead Audition I Saw The Devil Human Centipede 2 Irreversible And we can't be arsed with the guinea pig films and their ilk, they might be gross but they can also be q…

PSA : John Romero has uploaded new Doom 1 level 1 2

" It's been 21 years since I made a DOOM level. Here's my version of E1M8 using DOOM1.WAD. I limited myself to only the shareware assets. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2x2ee3r51986dkt/e1m8b.zip?dl=0 " https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153906645721289&set=a.501222076288.298741.517581288&type=3&theater seeing as this is his version of E1M8, and all other levels in Knee-Deep in the Dead were made by (or finished by) Romero, this effectively makes the Episode an all romero curated experience.

As some of you know, we are going to be upgrading the forum to the latest version of the software sometime this year, and in preparation for that, I'd like to know your thoughts on: Forum Features You Like List anything you really like feature-wise we currently have (a LOT of things have changed in the latest forum software), so in case the new version no longer has that feature, we can see about a workaround or possibly an addon to restore that feature. Forum Features You Hate Is there anything on the forum feature or function-wise you just can't stand? Hopefully the new forum will bring solutions (the replacement for View New Content is awesome, IMO - se…

Didn't see a thread for this. Not sure one is even warranted. But a new p.mu website is coming soon. I actually really liked the old website, but I'm interested to see what they come up with. I only hope they don't make it like the new warp website (which is complete shit IMO). The old Pmu site was really easy to navigate and seemed intuitive to me. edit: it's a slow friday night. I've got no friends.

http://www.jamesaltucher.com/2016/04/minimalism-brought-freedom-joy/ I found this to be very interesting how this man can live like this and seemingly be happy - I don't know if I would go to the lengths he did, but it does cause me to reflect on all the material things and really, how useless they are at the end of the day (or life). I find as I get older, my attachment to material things is not as strong as when I was in my teens, or even my 20's and 30's. Anyway, I found it interesting, so I thought I'd share it here.

Well, I'm getting married in a couple months time and I'm getting pretty stressed out in regards to the stag do. Me and the (soon to be) missus have been organising the whole wedding day ourselves and the cost is out of our pocket. Albeit, it is a small occasion with a smattering of friends and largely immediate family, it's been quite an absorbing affair to plan for. Anyway, I've never been on a stag do myself; I don't drink, take drugs etc. Which may well be the case of my choosing to write the one for me, off. However, I get it in the ear from the guys at work constantly which is what irks me somewhat. I'm a carpenter by trade and I work with a bunch of hairy-arsed…

Germany vs Erdogan
by Guest- 15 replies

Not sure if this has gotten international attention: There was this incident where Turkey boss Erdogan complained about a TV spot dishonoring him, demanding that it be taken down from a website or something. As a response, Jan Böhmermann, German comedian, read a nasty poem about Erdogan in his show. The poem's content is something that could be written by a sixth-grader, mainly focusing on sodomy, aiming to maximize Erdogan's butthurt. A trivial thing, everyone reacted predictably. The fun thing is that apparently this could take down Merkel: http://www.dw.com/en/prosecuting-b%C3%B6hmermann-satire-could-cost-merkel-the-chancellery/a-19179199 fav+ tro…

i thnk it is interesting to thnk about th homelessness. sum choose it + sum r forced. many r mentally unstable, yet vry sweet and entertaining to talk wth :) others r th harppyhomeless wth no problem. some r suffering in extreme ways. why don't we take care of th homeless; why do we nt take care of each-other? does homelessness hav a connection to r root in tribal reality; our subconscious need to live nomadically? y do people think th solution to homelessness is go to th charity shop, get new clothes + go get th slave job? r th homeless actually r greatest activists, giving the middle-finger to systems of control? please share yr thoughts on homelessness :)

"The avant-garde filmmaker and composer Tony Conrad, whose work inspired thousands of artists and pushed the boundaries of what art could achieve, died early April 9 at 76 after a struggle with prostate cancer. The immediate cause of death was pneumonia. Conrad, who taught in the University at Buffalo's media study department since 1976, was idolized by a generation of composers, musicians and artists who credit him with changing the course of American art and music with his seemingly endless series of inventive projects, performances and installations. An event honoring Conrad's career and retirement had been planned for May 2 in the University at Buffalo's Center for …

Can't find a thread for this so here's one I made myself. Just a heads up for anyone interested. The trailer for this has apparently leaked online, but I understand the quality isn't very good (haven't watched it myself). I think the trailer drops properly on Monday in HD for those willing to wait for a high quality version.
