Saw The Lion King 2019. Gf thought it was cute, but not as good as the original Lion King. I thought it was utter trash. No expression in the faces, gestures, environment, songs, etc... whatsoever. The original Lion King was imo one of the best Disney movies of all time... Unbelievable how Disney could f--- it up this badly.

Lol watched new lion king last night too. the 4K on the oled was unreal. Incredible looking. Moviee was complete trash otherwise. Beyoncé should have never been cast. and it was hilarious how inexpressive the faces were. Stupid idea really, great advertisement for the power of artistic animation. We can read emotions on expressive “cartoon” faces. Who cares about actual lions. Plus Nala was hot in the original and her sexy “fuck me please” face was taken out of this one!!!!!! BOOOOOOOO

now this is the kind of exploitation cinema so sleazy it will leave you feeling like you need to take a shower. and made by exactly the type of mafia connected creep who credits his pornography producing girlfriend to hide the dodgy production credits.

I saw this yesterday. I loooove Chris Morris and was really hoping that this would be amazing but I have to say that I was a little disappointed. It has a great cast and some genuine IRL LOLz, but it has some problems. Having said that , it’s still totally worth checking out.

El Camino was okay. I dont think it was necessary but I think if you REALLY care about Jesse and want to know what happens then watch it. other wise it is skippable.

Sort of like Godfather III I think it  should only be watched if youre genuinely curious about what happens to the characters. El Camino was better than Godfather III tho.

I liked it tho. Glad it was told in movie format instead of a mini series or installments. Good little send off

Midsommar  - loved it, wasn't big on Hereditary, but this is next level

Westworld (1973) - loved it, 70's sci-fi always a hit, Yul Brynner excellent

Demon Seed - good stuff! wasn't blown away as much as i'd hoped but apprieate the ideas and designs...cool soundtrack too

While it's definitely a good movie, I think the problem with it was that Breaking Bad was wrapped up TOO well. So the movie had to invent new enemies for Jesse to face. It lacked the tension of having antagonists who've been around for a while and have been fleshed out. Though at the same time from Jesse's angle I feel it was worth making and that it's a worthy sequel to the show.

IDK why but that scene with the robot chasing the protagionist down those endless hallways has always stuck with me.

Parasite (Gisaengchung) (2019)
Korean movie about 2 very different families.
Great cinematography, good mix of genres, ideas, acting, etc... Liked it.
One of the better movies this year.
Highly recommended.
(in my opinion wayyy better than okja, snowpiercer and the host, which I thought were all pretty bad)

Well, the director didn't make any of those movies. Edit: he made all if those movies. I'm an idiot. Memories of murder is good, those are not, well, the host is tolerable.

I watched Joker. I dug it.

The Matrix - Not as good as I was hoping it would be after nearly 20 years. Effects have suffered quite a lot. Glad I finally revisited it though.great bloody idea.

The Entity - This is really good for a supernatural early 80s horror. Also because of "if it really is me" I've got this mad childhood affinity with the woman's voice that almost gives me goose bumps. Good synth pad sequence sequence towards the end too.

Midsommar was a good one. That director is really talented at showing heads getting smashed in.

The Host is great, it has this guy in it
