They ain't taking their foot off the gas with these new sets, that's for damn sure. These mutha's are as obsessed with sound as they were in the 90's. Some of the sections in the new sets are otherworldly. I probably need to revisit confield soon to properly compare. I dunno, it seems like they've moved up a notch lately?

Was just ploughing through the Autechre marathon-mixes database and I uploaded one from 2005 to the download section and uploaded the rest here (only available for a few days but they might be added to the download section later too). But for some reason I never found this one before, I remember they did one on xltronic but never knew it was such a monster of a set... Almost 38 hours long! https://archive.org/details/autechre2006-12-28 https://archive.org/details/autechre2006-12-30 Here's the (incomplete?) tracklist: Aemarathon20061228 Part 1: 0:00 808 State – Deepville 6:43 Pierre’s Pfantasy Club – Got The Bug 11:27 Fingers Inc. – Bring Down Th…

I remember dem AE boys talking about dem having some high frequency hearing loss. Could we get Shaun and Rob (or their personal audiologists (i know u read watmm)) to submit their audiogram results in here? Should we just slap low pass filtering at 10 kHz to get the ULTIMATE Autechre Listening Experience...to listen to AE the same way Shaun & Rob heard their music when they made it Regards

So these things crawled their way out of my floorboards and attached themselves to my leg the other day. Of particular interest here is around 5:30 where the chaotic rapid fire bits occur. discuss

hi folks I'm trying to make a d e f i n i t i v e spreadsheet out of the uncomplete (but very helpful) spreadsheets that are already around, documenting the many many Autechre and Gescom remixes, comp tracks, rare tracks, leaks, etc.. The definitive archive!! Comments are enabled, so if you see something's wrong, missing, or improvable, either leave a comment on the spreadsheet or post here. ------------> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gh9WmE-Vp8vbUEPpCRMnz2PtycbNshCbo7_HDEYrK-o/edit?usp=sharing <----------- Ignore the lossy/lossless columns they're my personal checklist. Copy the doc, clear the columns and use it if you want. All tracks acquired…

Does anyone here own this on vinyl (Schaft - Visual Cortex promo)? I've got it on CD, but it's never been sold on discogs on wax. I really like that track and would love to own the record. But I'd at least feel good knowing that someone can cherish this record and that they aren't lost to time (destroyed/lost) since there was apparently only 100 printed over 20 years ago.

I'm trying to track down the artwork from Autechre albums at a reasonable resolution. Specifically ep7, because it's awesome. Can anyone help? But any Autechre related art is a treat. Troublingly, I couldn't find a topic discussing this. What are peoples favourite album covers, or Autechre related art?

Might be nice to get a thread going where we can list little things specific to certain versions of releases, whether it be in the music or the packaging. Maybe a starting point for an Ae version of the fredd-e boc pages? So I suppose it is somewhat fitting that my first contribution is that, according to discogs, the first press of Amber has "FUCK OFF TRAINSPOTTER" on the B-side runout groove. Cool! Shoot.

Resorted to the autechre reddit page during the watmm outage, only to be greeted with this: Gave it a google and sure enough it's not a remix from arty car but in fact ae, among other idm favourites: "Tron Run/r will feature music from Giorgio Moroder and Raney Shockne, along with remixes from Autechre, Bibio, Darkstar, Joywave, patten, and Plaid." From: http://uk.ign.com/articles/2016/01/27/tron-runr-confirmed-for-consoles-release-date-announced Dunno if it's new or what. Anyone on steam willing to check it out?

I've noticed some people saying that this is a very repetitive track. Have you taken notice that despite the basis of this track being 2 chords uneasily shifting between each other, each repetition of the sequence has a different and unique interpretation? Makes me think that my ears are tuned differently than others. For me, this is like a classical piece — variations on a theme — so I don't fully understand the criticism. I would be very surprised if someone who had come to enjoy oval's work came to this track and found it 'repetitive', as I do think "do while" from 94 discont operates on a similarly subtle level. that is all.

What's your opinion on the influence that the Manchinedrum and Monomachine have had in Autechre's musical direction? I can help being a little biased in this matter but I listen to the recent live sets a lot more than any album these days in fact they never come off my mp3 player. Saying that I was never a big Autechre fan until a few years ago but I appreciate their past work a lot more now.

I hope it's ok to start a new thread for this (if not, let me know and I'll move it somewhere). Partially out of boredom, and partially because I just really like the last track from the 2016 tour, I (primitively) used Audacity to clip and isolate the last segment, convert via Windows Media, and then post on youtube. I used the audio from Berlin, Zagreb, Concorde, and Manchester (because those were the files already saved). The audio was not (intentionally) tampered with beyond that. Another big "thank you" to the heroes who recorded the audio. (I left the youtube description blank in case anyone wants me to give credit for breaking the law lol) https://y…

So I spent the majority of last night (12am-5am) messing around with this thing. It's a programme based off of that deepdream thing google had awhile back. anyways it's free, you just sign up and upload an image and select a filter you want to use. I got some pretty cool ones, some not as interesting. in the time it took between uploads I was on here reading thru different threads, so I figured i'd share a bunch of them. As you all know by now, my favourite æ album is of course their best album, and that album, as we all know and can agree upon, is Quaristice. So naturally I spent the most time with that one. I would have done more but I musste sleepen. If anyone feels …

Hello Good people of internet. I am trying to find a way to contact Autechre and respectively - WARP records so I can negotiate the rights to use their tracks in a short movie I am making. I want to do it the legit way, but I struggle to get a hold of Autechre contacts or receive feedback from WARP records. This is not just about rights to upload the movie to youtube. I want to have the rights to use the music because the movie will be shown at several festivals and having the proper approval/rights on the all used content is a must. Any help that will make me move forward to achieve my goal will be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.
