Yeah the mood has to be right for those twinkly tracks. It's great to hear Autechre venturing into this kind territory and being able to make it sound like it's something they've been doing forever. I find these tracks hit the spot perfect when I'm in the mood for classical music, late nite contemplative style listening. Known(1) is special. I often skip it. But once in a blue moon it just sounds fucking perfect.

Amber is incredible. Not my favorite, but it's absolutely incredible. I could see how some people might have that as their favorite, though maybe he IS trolling. Its hard to tell. But songs like Slip, and Silver.. they're "IDM" (lolszzsz) history... =/
