"2008-2013. Faitiche is five!On the occasion of the label anniversary, Faitiche presents Jan Jelinek’s Temple Vinylbox (faitiche08-11). The box set includes four mini-LPs and brings together various strands of Jelinek’s output. This includes works commissioned by museums and archives (Cosmo Caixa – Barcelona, Cinesonic / Stichting Film & Media Festival – Amsterdam), music for dance choreography (Slvain Émard – Montreal), radio collages and radio plays (Ars Acustica, SWR Radio), as well as live recordings with Japanese vibraphone player Masayoshi Fujita." Anyone else hyped for the upcoming DFA1979 album? I love these guys, been into them since their first EP. New album should be more of the same awesome bass riffage from the tracks previewed. Album comes out on 9/9! The first single "Trainwreck" had me a little worried at first, but now I see it as the radio-friendly track of the new album, like what "Black History Month" was to Your A Woman, I'm A Machine... although more pop sounding it's still not a bad track by any means More recently they just put up this video that's more along the line of the faster punkier sound that got them known, and if most of the album continues in this route it's gonna be great.

Blerp - 300 edition vinyl out now. Not too jazzed for samples so far, seems like basic Modeselektor type editing. https://www.soundcloud.com/bleep_bot/spaces-lever

Building on the ambient sound of their previous work while taking their music in a fundamentally new direction, Swim Team sees the duo taking bold creative steps and coming into full focus. “The album is definitely a departure from our previous releases – it has more to the point, concise compositions with a lot of focus on beats and different synth sounds,” says Ramic. One of my favourite musicians of all time. This appeared back in May of last year. Never saw it mentioned on here. http://boomkat.com/downloads/714728-harold-budd-jane-1-11 There is a follow up due later this year. His two albums from the 1980s, 'Lovely Thunder' & 'The White Arcades' are among the most treasured albums from my youth. Regards

No mention of this on here but I have to say that this is a great release. Available on vinyl or you can download it from bandcamp. http://jokersofthescene.bandcamp.com/releases https://soundcloud.com/#throneofblood/sets/jokers-of-the-scene-end-scene-throne-of-kanada-001 Great reviews also "Stunning." JUNO "The best thing Jokers of the Scene has ever done." XLR8R "As lush as grass after a spring rain, and as nostalgia-tinged as a beaten-up cassette tape." SPIN "It's like comfort food at a gourmet restaurant: you know all the ingredients, but you've never had them put together quite like this." RESIDENT ADVISOR "An electronic opus." AUX "End Scene r…
