the half nude fat bastard above is ricardo lopez- forever known as bjork's stalker. turns out he couldn't deal with bjork dating goldie (because he was black) and as punishment decided to mail bomb her after recording his downward spiral including his own (boring) suicide. only problem is the cops discovered the tapes before his mail bomb got to bjork making this entire thing a fail.

i had watched the hour and some change "movie" a while back but decided to go thru the entire 22 hour director's cut from the man himself.

my apologies.

watched it over thursday night and friday night. forwarded a lot of the ranting- the parts where he's just yacking about him and ralph arguing, him killing roaches and him showing his private parts- mainly had it in the background so not exactly watching it like seriously but did pay attention when shit hit the wall (literary)

pretty much used it as background noise to clean my cameras

fantastic film by genius lloyd simandl. it's the end of the world and a bunch of hot babes have to survive by having lesbian sex (naturally).  there's also some guys that try and invade into the action but those bozos get dealt (thankfully) with the quickness.

amazing film and probably simandl's high water mark

I will never understand your appreciation of Trash Humpers. Chuck on Basket Case 3, I say without irony that's a strong trilogy.

MAKE IT MAKE IT DON'T FAKE IT :^)

Yeah BC3 is one of my all time faves and usually a night shift staple along with videodrome.

I spent the weekend in the company of a delightful young lady though and we got through a bunch of films, including those two. Only reason BC3 is in my dvd wallet is it's the selection I had left from the end of the last set of nights 2 months ago as I didn't have time to change them when I woke up this evening.

Apparently Henenlotter hasn't ruled out a fourth Basket Case...

Robin Williams Come Inside My Mind

I cried a little.

Been meaning to watch that. Instead I watched Good Morning Vietnam before it left HBO's list. Someone hadn't seen it before. Man I miss him a lot, still one of those untimely deaths that just nags you with bittersweet memories as a fan.

Also watched Heartbreak Ridge and Three Kings on the same day off. Seen the former on tv so it was cool seeing the full cut in one sitting. Weird and off-kilter but nonetheless good war movie, accurately captures the post-'Nam military ethos of the early 80s that was shifting from an identify crisis to gung-ho readiness as the final tensions of the cold war set in. Also a fuckload of great one-liners. Three Kings was better than I expected, satire was pretty biting. Kind of like a goofier and far more fantastical version of Jarhead.

MI6: Fallout

Quite possibly the most entertaining action movie made within the last 20 years. Makes all other action movies pale in comparison. Tom Cruise is the perfect human-being.

yeah mi was pretty fun.

definitely peaked with the bathroom fight but most of that was in the dang trailer. the middle was good. good chases. ending was hilariously dumb. pretty sure my eyes audibly rolled with the "we can't defuse the timer until the countdown starts"

also henry cavill is a really good looking dude but a fucking terrible actor.

I might start a quasi-shitpost thread for this but a Top Gun sequel called TOP GUN: MAVERICK is in the works.

Plot will involve Goose's son becoming a pilot and Maverick coming to terms with the end of the dogfighting era in the age of drones. (which TBH was already dead by the 80s which made the first movie plausible but retroactive in it's combat - almost every air to air engagement since the 70s has been beyond visual range missles)

Cruise and Kilmer returning but not the late Tony Scott of course, which is a bummer.
