Since the old thread got too long and took ages to load, we continue forth (think of it as a sequel, to use a movie metaphor).

I just finished watching all the seasons of Tim & Eric: Awesome Show, Great Job. Goddamn hilarious. And I've started watching Sons Of Anarchy. Reminds me alot of The Sopranos, just with bikers of course. it's quite entertaining.

I'm (still!) currently reading Thomas Pynchon's Against the Day but took a break in between to read Don DeLillo's Great Jones Street and Horace Walpole's The Castle of Otranto, the first gothic horror novel. Anyone reading anything cool at the moment? Don't even say it's the fuckin' Kite Runner

So I am considering (and have been for some time) of making the site subscription-only where unless you pay for a subscription, you will only see a limited amount of content (aka a paywall). I wish it could be free for everyone, but costs have (and continue) to go up over the years, now costing 100 USD per month to run this forum (thankfully the costs of the forum software is part of that). For a long time now (since 2013) all new members have been required to have a subscription, but an old loophole in the forum software allowed paying members whose subscriptions lapsed to continue to access the site. I am considering turning this off so if you are not a p…

Let's keep topics about the new forum limited to this thread - if it becomes a big thing, we could consider a subforum, or start up a bug tracking database (although there really shouldn't be any bugs per se)...

Salvatorin died in his sleep this morning. Chatmm and beak are both reeling. He was posting in chatmm this morning when I got out of work. Unreal, so upsetting. Such a good dude. No idea what else to say.

Hello, WATMM forum. We don’t really know each other very well, but we have a common friend, known online as MIXL2 (although he changed his username here at some point to @YangYing). I’m here to let you know that MIXL2, or Miguel as I knew him, passed away on the 24th of April, and his funeral was held about a week ago. I figured you all should know, since Miguel was a long-time member and frequent poster on this forum - having joined a few years after I first got to know him in middle school. He always used to tell me about the shenanigans people on here were up to, shared many threads he found interesting, and even made me sign up (even though I'm not much for forum…

The US usually thinks of itself as the world, look at our media, it's always about " me me me". Well yes there are other countries on earth, and they don't always see eye to eye with our vision of ourselves. So WATMM, a lot of you are from everywhere else, what say you? How full of ourselves are we? Do we appear to be the gun toting, race war baiting, waterboarding, overweight, loudmouths that out media portrays us to be? I'm really curious about your opinions, so much of the media is US focused, a lot of global news and issues get lost in the noise.

As a follow up to 2014's thread, 2015 is not starting too well with Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream and now Demis Roussos of Aphrodite's Child at the age of 68.

Big fan of Cunningham's work, and would love to see information about it from across the subforums centralized here. I have several interviews scoured from the web over the years that I will post here shortly. Another Man magazine's latest issue (A/W 2014) has a new interview and notes that a new work is "on the brink of release." Their website includes this excellent playlist of selections by Cunningham. Also, to tie in with the recent Star Wars teaser, here's Cunningham's visual remix of Empire Strikes Back:

How do WATMMers like their coffee? What beans strike your fancy? Coffee is an experience, and has many varieties, methods, and theories behind it. Grinds some beans, pour yourself a cup and let's get down to business.
