I've seen the 70s movie many times and am a huge Crichton fan. Anybody else watched the first episode? I thought it was awesome. Actually watched it twice - made more sense and had some nice moments I didn't appreciate on first viewing.

Sup. Anyone into ChucK? Just started learning it again and it is a lot of fun, and quite easy to use, unlike SuperCollider which I still want to understand better, but for now ChucK delivers quickly 🙂👍

Just needs another thread. One of the most idm bands out there that isn't idm. guitarist coming from one of the bands that arguably created the death metal genre, a bassist that studied geddy lee only to become his contemporary, and a drummer that can take a simple beat and funk/mess it up as well as Stuart Copeland. I fucking love Primus. Name a song by them and I'll love it. discuss. -alzado

Hi everyone, I don't know if sharing charity links may go against the rules or not ( I did not remember the rules since I read them a long time ago, if this is not ok just close the thread. When sharing these type of links check the source of legit campaings and websites of course.). Anyways I have come across some of them lately and though could be nice to bring some of the charity spirit around here, giving a helping hand to people who are in a tough situation. I have just found this campaing and I think this man and his brother are friends of Doug Lussenhop (surely most of you know the guy, he is the creator of the comedy series "Pound House"), because he posted …

Couldn’t find one, so here goes! Warning: talk could become candid and triggering. Proceed at your own risk. Got a mental illness? What’s it like? Are you okay right now? What drugs are you on? I have bipolar disorder and it’s pretty awful. I’ve been hospitalized 11 times for suicidal problems and even though I made it through college my life is sort of a mess in general. On the plus side I get a bunch of shit done when manic! Any other bipolar kidz in this zone? If you’re in an emotional or suicidal crisis, please call your regional emergency line (911 in the US, 999 in the UK) or your regional suicide hotline (800-273-8255 in the US).

Having been a lurker on watmm for quite sometime, I thought it best to start a thread to get a feel for this community. That being said, what are your creative goals for 2024?

Since I’m paying for this and now I’ve opened the weed wormhole: what’s up WATMM? It’s been a minute. A lot of shit happening in Portland: it sucks…I’m doing decently, still smoking hella weed. Just turned 33!! ? love you all. Miss you Braintree. “Banksyland” for tax. It was bullshit but at least I donated to an art institute.

I have been looking for something to do between sending out inevitably unsuccessful job applications and losing my dole cash on cheap wine. To escape catching a horrible strain of cabin fever I decided that it would be a nice idea to go out on an hour long walk everyday. Can anyone recommend good audiobooks to keep me company on these journeys and distract me from the casual violence enacted on the streets of South London?

Guess I'm looking for some advice, tips, stories, and do's and don'ts from people who have went through this. The good and the bad. Within the past couple months my wife (whom I love very much) left me and is seeking a divorce. This is all very jarring and confusing - and very new to me and my family as no one has went through it. I tried for very hard for a couple weeks to see about reconciling or making it work but she has refused and said 0% chance of that. So we will be trying to do an amicable "Dissolution of Marriage". Which in America pretty much means you decide on how you will split everything prior to bringing it to a court, and then it's quickly done.…
