How do WATMMers like their coffee? What beans strike your fancy? Coffee is an experience, and has many varieties, methods, and theories behind it. Grinds some beans, pour yourself a cup and let's get down to business.

I’ll probably get some heat for this but here it goes. There have only been two members of this board who immediately cause my brain to say, piss off. Nebraska and Limpyloo. Call me a kook but speaking of the former have you ever taken a good look at this guys’ posts? If Maga he man Chad is one side of the spectrum Nebraska is the opposite. There’s these old built in, I suspect genetic markers, which illicit an animalistic reaction. And Nebraska is one of them. If the worst of an LA scum edge lord online persona shinned through in the depths of the internet, it appear here in his form. Sup for world peace and Friendly Foils for life. Eat shit and live Nebr…

Any WATMMers (Japanese or not) chilling in Japan? I’ll be here for a couple years - not in Tokyo though. Thinking of heading to Tokyo in middle of June for a Jim O’Rourke and friends live show. Would be great to meet up!

really hoping this comes together into something special, if they have the budget to pull it off. AMC hasn't disappointed me with their recent series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUNAa0RK15g

1. A long time ago i watched a documentary about how amazonians indians get loaded. They mainly drink ayahuasca/yage whilst smoking a special blend of tobacco that gets you high. They say they smoke it because spirits like this kind of smoke. 2. Once, i was smoking a joint in my room. I was hearing a concrete mixer in the distance and I got in this kind of epiphany-like set of mind, so I decided to catch what sounded like a glimpse of eternity. I set the mic volume to the maximum and started recording (it was the shitty mic of my macbook). Later, i play the recording and i'm surprised to be able to hear voices calling a certain "kleid", saying "sorry" or giggling mani…

any of you collect any knives? or keep knives around for every day use? what type of knife do you prefer and why? what purpose do knives have in your life? i have always enjoyed a nice, well-made knife. i'm picky about them though and don't trust chinese/taiwanese build quality generally. i'd like a set of culinary knives but i don't cook enough to ever use them, and wouldn't allow myself to spend money on a low quality set. knives usually serve utilitarian purposes for me, but they're almost always built for survival and self-defense. for years i kept ka-bar utility knives on me at all times used both the regular size and small, 7 3/4" and 5 3/4" blades…

Having bought a smart TV today, it has occurred to me that we currently have no thread to confess our sins. This shall be that thread. Be not afraid, for your transgressions will be forgiven, after a penance of thorough mockery and facepalming from all of your fellow gonks. Your confessions may begin, and I welcome you all to deliver the penances due to me.

Any of you degenerates play it? It's pretty ace no? I just started out. Playing against two other guys, one of them is a bit of a prick. Started playing with his left hand and still beat me. Like I'm some kind of idiot. Other than that, fun

Norm used to be one of my favorite performers on SNL, definitely the best anchor in my opinion, and Dirty Work has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. He's kind of dropped off the face of the earth lately after his sitcoms didn't work out, but I guess he's still performing standup. Anyways, it's my buddy's birthday tonight and he's a huge fan so we're going to see him perform. I'm hoping he'll be great but I also know Norm doesn't really give a shit if he bombs and might just make everyone uncomfortable on purpose. That could be funny too I guess. He was always one of my favorite guests on Conan. Later on in the same show where he saves a boring i…

"March 25 (Reuters) - A U.S. judge has ruled that an online library operated by the nonprofit organization Internet Archive infringed the copyrights of four major U.S. publishers by lending out digitally scanned copies of their books." https://www.reuters.com/legal/us-judge-rules-internet-archives-digital-book-lending-violates-copyrights-2023-03-25/ I've been seeing a lot of people talking about this, saying that it'll be the modern Library of Alexandria if archive.org goes under. What's everyone's take on this? Either way, I went and downloaded some Wisp rarities and Sleepy Town Manufacture last night just in case. Anybody got any good recommendations…

I'm very curious. There's a dude on a fishing forum I've lurked on for years who goes by the name of Zerkalo. He's always in the club house posting up tracks of Aphex Twin and Autechre (his latest is Nathan Fake) he also seems like a top fella with a boundless enthusiasm for all things piscatorial. I reckon he's one of you and also swims within the subterranean realms of watmm. Am I correct?

if you're comfortable with it, pls tell watmm your gender (and/or sexual) identity, it would be interesting to know what we all see ourselves as. editing this bc (if you read the original version) it's pretty clear i conflated a few concepts to start by introducing myself: gender: cis male. sexuality: ace, not aro, i can get close to pretty much anyone, have had a number of what i'd consider deeply close male friendships over the years (that achilles-patroclus / david-jonathan / gilgamesh-enkidu type, idk if that description actually helps lol) that i will always value and remember, and have also dated / been close to absolutely wonderful women in my…
